Peter Schiff: De-dollarisation means the REMONETISATION of gold, the dollar can ABSOLUTELY be replaced by it 'It was the dollar that replaced gold. Before we had the dollar as the reserve, everybody, including the United States, held gold. I don't think anybody controls gold. Where you have control is over fiat currencies. The US government, the Federal Reserve, can create as many dollars as it wants out of thin air. Gold can't be created out of thin air. There is a limit to how much gold exists and can be mined. And so gold is the most honest form of money that we have. And it takes the power away from any one government. Private investors are going to be moving out of fiat currency-denominated instruments as a means of savings, including sovereign debt. They fraudulently filed and received VAT refunds from the Chinese government (even though they never paid VAT for this #Gold).
