36 years ago today, I was sworn in as a Member of Congress and delivered my first speech on the House Floor, which was on HIV/AIDS. There is no greater honor for me than to speak for and represent the people of San Francisco in the Congress. To this day, I remain endlessly grateful for this privilege.

Although Peter Lorre was thrilled to play such a major part in Fritz Lang's "M" (1931), he came to hate it later in life as people tended to associate him with being a child murderer in real life. Peter Lorre said, "Ever since I came to this country (USA), I’ve been trying to live down my past. That picture “M” has haunted me everywhere I’ve gone." 7 days ago I was fired from my school after 4 years of teaching. I recorded this the following day in order to share my perspective - honestly & in good faith - in order to move forward and put this experience behind me. I have no desire to cause complications or bring unwanted attention to the school, so I will not divulge anything beyond that. It is important to me to be able to speak truthfully and honestly about one of the most challenging periods in the story of my life, in order to move onto a new chapter. I hope all can respect one another's privacy, freedom of speech, & treat each other with dignity - especially during such times.

Gee, no wonder they're cancelling the show. Who would ever voluntarily listen to clowns like this? "Being on this show has been a privilege and a platform and I know it's my last time on it, so I want to say something worthy of that privilege and platform." "Trans kids deserve to play sports." Kids shouldn't be trans in the first place. This buffoon should never be allowed on the network again.

Update on my situation. Tower crane work has dried up and I’ve been left with nothing after 7 years with a clean record. Taking legal action because this was over my political views and concerns for my kids and my country. Freedom of speech has to mean something. 🇬🇧

One of the responses I keep getting on my posts related to my critiques on KPDH is that I'm "reaching" for the queer allegory. I did some research and it turns out that what I suspected in the film's subtext was intentional. This film indeed has a poorly done queer allegory.
