Peter Thiel says that to generate the new ideas required to solve our problems, it's not that we lack genius but rather that we lack the courage to combat conformity of thought and political correctness

It's a bit more subtle than that. We have plenty of divergent thinkers. The problem is most of them lack chutzpah, logical grounding, and discipline. It takes a balance of ego and community.

Eric Weinstein would argue that institutions are disenfranchising and deplatforming divergent thinkers, so there is actually a disincentive for engaging in original thought

but, but, they said that if i do just as they do then ill be unique too.

Testosterone and Adderall solve a lot of that. TRT with a healthy dose of Adderall.

Damn the interview only dropped 5 hrs ago

The main problem isn’t lack of courage, it’s that in this political climate, having non-approved thoughts and voicing them can tend to have an economic cost that non-millionaires can’t bear as easily as someone in Thiel’s position

Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth. All progress has resulted from people who took unpopular positions.

Fresh new ideas… like fascism?

A little more courage, would do a lot of good. .. Truth it is
