This happens all the time at a double lane drive through. Who has the right of way? Many people said it is the person who was there first. Others said it is the person who finishes ordering first. The POV driver was definitely there first but the other car could have pulled up, ordered a drink and was off or they could have ordered ahead. The SUV with the woman in it has the right of way. It is the person who FINISHES ordering first. 💯 Who do you think has the right of way? Do you run into this all the time like so many other people do?

There’s a false belief going around that the PNP started Portmore, but that’s just another attempt by them to rewrite history. The truth is, it was the vision of the Jamaica Labour Party and former Prime Minister Edward Seaga to create Portmore. It began as a housing scheme and grew into many housing estates, becoming a community where people lived but mostly worked in Kingston. As time passed, even the PNP realized that Portmore was growing into its own space with its own needs. They created a municipality, though it was not fully thought out, some people in Portmore vote for a mayor but are still part of another municipal council. This shows that Portmore has grown into its own city, with many people now living, working, and even retiring right there.

Today, their profits are up 103%, for every unit they deliver €50,000 is pure profit while their ‘affordable housing’ isn’t affordable and their building standards have resulted in work having to be halted! The private market does not have the capacity or the interest to provide genuinely affordable housing, this is why we need to break with them and end our dependence on profit-driven developers. A state construction company can build genuinely affordable housing because first and foremost it exists to house people, not to make a profit off of peoples housing insecurity. That’s the difference. In 2025 we need a bold and radical housing movement to fight back against the governments failed housing model. There are alternatives. There are solutions. This concrete truck crew is done with their job. They washed out the whole entire shute of the concrete truck and then the wheelbarrow into the storm drain. This is totally fine right? It seemed it was ok to do this in the 80s-90s and still might be in very small towns... but a lot of cities are starting to strictly enforce these violations. There are steep fines if it was concrete. If it’s just a rinse of the tools, the water might be gray or dirty so it could fine but if it’s concrete then it could be big fines. Many people said this is fine and no harm and no foul. Others said that you are still pouring bits of concrete down there. Is this a big deal? Do you think that is concrete residue being poured down into there or do you think it’s just dirty water and nothing to be concerned about?
