The animals dying due to the vaccine is a reason to stop testing but not necessarily for the reason that civilized people think. They were bright enough to generalize these findings to their own species so that means they stopped testing on animals when they started dying not because it was killing them, it was because the vaccine was ready to be shipped out. There was some talk about how it really wasn't meant to be a vaccine but a bio-weapon. You have to admit this explanation fits better than somehow explaning why you would stop testing on animals but ship out millions of doses to be used on people.

Question is why did our tax paid elected officials do absolutely NOTHING to protect their constituents!

Yep and then they figured they'd just cut the studies short and kill the animals before they died. Like the booster that was studied for less than two weeks. It is an old trick that seems to be employed by some "scientists" to hide safety signals.
