Phantasia (1940)

The idea of pegasus having nests and acting similar to swans is so adorable

Fantasia* autocorrect is great

Huge fan of how they made them swim like swans

I always find it incredible when you think about how these masterpieces of animation was made in the 40s

I want a whole movie about them!!

Pre-mlp

Earliest snowpity ever recorded

Ok, so this is beautiful. The movements are so graceful, timed perfectly to coincide with music and humor and the allusion from Pegasus to swan is breathtaking. Bravo! 👏👏👏 🪶🦢

Oh the Pastoral Symphony is my favourite part of Fantasia

Fantasia*

This unlocked a core memory; I even remember them swimming like swans 😭

The Pastoral Symphony segment is a metaphorical microcosm of life... innocence and potential exist under guidance, growth comes through trial, societal roles (nurturer, protector, learner) interact, and harmony is restored through virtue, balance, and resilience... Beautiful ❣️

What a pretty mom and handsome dad.. and silly kids..😆😍

I love how they are in sync, yet there are subtleties as to not perfectly mirror movements.

Then ships came down to see what the new world is like.

Absolutely wholesome.

Why do the ponies change color when they come out of the water

Just so beautiful!! Thanks for sharing 💕

*Fantasia (1940)

Fantasia

And it became one of the best worlds in the Kingdom Hearts series

I'm on strike.

🥰

Still one of my all time favourite movies 💜

Its Fantasia not Phantasia

You Swapped F?!!

I love that this implies that Pegasi are 4 legged swans/geese in the shape of a horse
