Phantasy Star Online (2000, Dreamcast)

One of my top ten all time favorite games! You had to be there to understand!

they dont make games like this anymore

This was so much better that PS2O

I only found out recently you can still play this game through private servers. Got the modem setup from @dclivenet. Need to get it all hooked up so I can load up my 25 yo profile that's still saved to my VMU.

I played this game on a dial up modem and I remember playing it until 4 AM every morning and being so tired in junior high

I wish there was an official PC port of this with online play. I know there’s Phantasy Star Online 2, but as someone that didn’t grow up in the Dreamcast era, I would love to play the original.

Timeless classic.

I really wish they'd bring this version back in an official capacity. Such a simple game loop but so cozy. The OST carries the game on its back, one of the best of all time.

i played the hell out of this and the update which looks like this footage from... loved s beats blades until update made them ass lol.... phantasy star universe was hype too

Spread Needle Ahoi!

So many great memories

@SEGA Give us a remastered version

good times!

@HCGSHOW @maximilian_ definitely would love to see what your guys' experiences were playing PSO 1!

You know things are about to go down, when you and your boys run through the mines and, all of a sudden, a robot ninja drops down, to show you it's sweet dance moves to a boppin' beat.

Back then, the cost of going online was too high, so I played in offline mode for a few months.

Need an ultimate editon/remake of this game. Come on @SEGA_OFFICIAL

Phantastic game

Bought a dreamcast just for to play this game. Unfortunately, AOL didn't work on dreamcast. We got DSL a few months later but we had no router and I didn't have the network adapter. The only way to connect online was to directly plug in the modem to it. Dad was not cool with it.

Takes me back

They need to remake this for the new generation consoles with online subscription

My favorite Dreamcast/Gamecube game ever

it felt so much like, I'm sure it's simple now but the game was anime and futuristic and just a blast on the dreamcast

Marathon reminds me of PSO in a strange way that no other game since PSO has…

One of my favorites to this day. Hundreds of hours of fun with PSO

Got I was addicted to this game back in the days when the private servers for Blue Burst came out.

Playing on Xbox 1 #Classic

Miss it so much, tho i only got to play the multi-player a few times

I only played 4 and Portable 2. Love this game series

Take me back

The second best online based Phantasy Star game ever made.

Das hatte ich damals zu gerne Mal gespielt. Leider hatte ich damals weder Geld, noch einen GameCube noch Internet.... Aber es wirkte so unfassbar faszinierend, was ich darüber gelesen hatte.

The dreamcast days were really something. I played this one long ago and had some fun with it. Shenmue and a few others as well.

My friends and I put hundreds of hours into the GC version.
