Pharmacists will begin voting on whether they will cut access to their services amid a row over funding. The National Pharmacy Association, which represents 6 thousand community pharmacies in the UK, has called for a £1.3 billion funding increase.

Gp's are moving to much work on to pharmacists,many are far too busy to be seeing people with minor ailments. Why can't we simply go back to see our GP when we are ill

Hello @GMB can we please get this right. This is being done by PHARMACY OWNERS not by PHARMACISTS. This is a business decision and does not involve the profession, vast majority of whom are not pharmacy owners.

My independent pharmacist can’t afford a locum pharmacist if he’s away, he’s going to have to get rid of the free delivery of prescriptions to patients and cut the hrs he’s open his funding has been cut again this month

Ah yes, because cutting essential healthcare services is always the solution when underfunded. Maybe we can pay for it with all that “extra” money the #NHS has lying around
