I watch this video so often. He absolutely smashed it.

Another Day In Paradise - Phil Collins (1989)

Phil Collins is in hospice. 😢 He was such an amazing songwriter. Please, Gen Xers can’t take anymore loss. My son used to sing this to me when he was a toddler. He loved the Tarzan movie.

That’s the beauty of Phil Collins. That man is a pure genius disguised in the most ordinary form. It’s a reminder that talent doesn’t always come wrapped in glamour, sometimes, the greatest artists look like they just fixed your Wi-Fi before changing the sound of music forever.

Dual Mastery: Collins achieved massive, worldwide success both as the drummer/lead singer of Genesis and as a solo artist, selling over 100 million records in each capacity. Technical Skill: He is a highly respected drummer capable of playing complex progressive rock time signatures, earning praise from peers like Neil Peart and John Bonham. Distinctive Vocal Style: His emotive and powerful voice is instantly recognizable on numerous chart-topping hits. The "Everyman" Image: Unlike the flamboyant rock stars of the 70s and 80s, Collins often performed in simple button-up shirts and had a clean-cut look, which contributes to the "IT guy" or "corporate dad" perception and the meme's popularity. This combination of an unassuming appearance with a powerful, multifaceted musical talent (drumming, singing, songwriting, producing) makes his skill set truly remarkable

He is simply a genius. Here is the whole concert.

He look like he about to present us Windows 95 for the first time.

back in the day most did not care what they looked like while doing their craft. I seriously miss these times.

Phil Collins proved u don’t need leather pants to be a rock god just rhythm soul & a receding hairline. He made multitasking look poetic 🥁🎤😂 Random fact: Collins was once the only musician to play both Live Aid concerts in London & Philadelphia on the same day.

Michael Winslow AKA the man with 10,000 sounds doing his Jimi Hendrix impression

The song always reminds me of an epic scene in Miami Vice.

It's always amazed me how 'normal' Phil Collins looked, if you didn't know who he was you'd assume he was a regular office guy or a plumber or something. But no disrespect meant, a complete and utter legend.

talent so strong it bypassed aesthetic entirely

Bradley Cooper Spent spent 6 years learning how to conduct 6 minutes and 21 seconds of music in this scene

He’s the perfect mix of office calm and rockstar chaos. IT departments everywhere bow down.

I love that part:

No!

Definitely, the best Drummer ever. He was carrying Genesis up high in the sky. He soared even higher as a solo. I can feel it coming in the air tonight... He's simply non-repeatable... not even by AI. We all age with time, c'est la vie, non !

@onebiglizard …😂🤣😂🤣. Xxx

One of the best opening drum riffs ever.

Question = is this song “subtly” about Abortion?

Its a sign from the X algorithm.. Skelsui on Sui is going to the F*cking moon! If you Crytpo...then this is for you. Its our time. Ca: 0x84604526d71bbe7738c3c02d3c8a48778955718289c03d814d8468b58ae9a898::skelsui::SKELSUI

He's someone everyone can identify with, yet it's the rare person that has his level and combination of skills.

I am a drummer. Singing and drumming at the same time is almost impossible. He is exceptionally talented!!!!!!

He's got that perfect mix of rockstar talent and office casual vibes! Who says you can't rock out and troubleshoot tech at the same time? 🥁🎤

Drums are turned up kind of high in the mix there.

And a historian. His gifts to The Alamo museum are incredible.

😂😂😂😂😂

@uninspiredcup Thank goodness the service of Victor Vance prevented Phil from an untimely death in 1984
