This is all getting ridiculous now — 11 YEARS to build a simple bridge👇 You’ll have probably seen the bizarre concept art for the new pedestrian bridge between Steeton and Silsden. The deliberate over-complication of this project has frankly been stunning. ➡️ Let's remind ourselves it has now been 9 YEARS since £700,000 was given by our Conservative Government to local Labour-run authorities for a feasibility study. ➡️ It then took Labour 4 years to produce a report which concluded: ‘We need a bridge’. ➡️ Funds were then allocated for this project in 2021 by the previous Conservative government. ➡️ Yet local authorities have sat on their hands and allowed the cost of this project to spiral from £3 million to £13 million. 'The Power' holds a series of impressive records, including the most televised nine-dart finishes with 11 and the first player to produce two nine-darters in the same match. But the 64-year-old also produced an uncommon 240 shot back in 1993, when competing in the UK Matchplay. The tournament took place at the Aquarius Club, Chesterfield and was televised by ITV's Yorkshire television. And in a first in the competition, Taylor threw 240 - the maximum score one could achieve with three darts. 240 was made possible because at the time, games were being played on a 'Quadro' board - which had been brought in by Harrows Darts Technology the previous year. The board featured an an extra ring between the double ring and the outer bull, which meant you could get quadruples as well as trebles. The highest possible checkout was 210 from two quadruple 20 and then the bull - but Taylor went and achieved the maximum score against Jocky Wilson, who went on to reach the final in a losing effort to Dennis Priestley. The announcer screamed "240!" as they do these days when 180s are scored. Taylor's effort is believed to be the second 240 hit captured on camera, with Wilson, Shayne Burgess, Bob Anderson and Peter Evison also later matching the achievement during the event. 4v4 (+2) | Possession vs. Regain and Counter to Goal 🥅. ✅ Aim: ✔️ Regain Possession and Counter Attack Quickly. ✅ Set Up: ✔️ Space: 40 (L) x 30 (W) yards. All players start in one half of the pitch. ✔️Place 2 x mini goals 🥅 at one end of the pitch and 2x mini goals in one half of the pitch in diagonally opposite corners. ✔️⚫️s = Possession Team ✔️🔴s = Regain and Counter Team ✔️🟢s = Support Players for the team with the ball ⚽️. ✅ Scoring: ✔️ ⚫️s connect 5 passes or play a wall pass around a player = 1 goal ✔️🔴s regain the ball and 1️⃣ break into the other half and score quickly in a mini goal. Or 2️⃣ connect 4 passes in the half they are in and score in the corner mini goals. ✅ Session Guidance: ➡️ When the 🔴s break over over the halfway line 3 x of them can attack and 2x ⚫️s can recover to get the ball back into the possession half.
