Remember the story about a family with 6 children including a 6 month baby getting tear gassed at the Minneapolis "protest" on Jan. 14? The parents have been giving interviews about it, but they're lying. I'm a journalist who was there, covered that "protest," and helped the family. (THREAD 🧵) The parents claimed that their vehicle was surrounded by ICE agents so they were scared to move it because they didn't want to be killed like Renee Good. In my newly released footage below, you can see that there are over 2.5 minutes before any ICE agents even shot/threw anything in the direction of protesters near their vehicle. Additionally, the closest that any ICE agent went near their vehicle was at least 15-20 feet away. They were never surrounded at all. The parents could have left at any point during those 2.5 minutes, but chose not to.

Phillip: He had an arrangement with ice that allowed him to be in the country as long as he checked in. He had just checked in with them. They could have picked him up last week when he was in the office. They didn't do that. What they did was they broke down the door without a warrant, and they detained him. CLOSE CALL! A FOX 26 photojournalist was rolling when a vehicle tried to drive through a flooded underpass in Houston's EaDo area Saturday night. As for the vehicle that was already stranded, Houston Fire officials confirmed they did have a team at the scene for a rescue operation. An HPD dive team was not called. There is no information regarding anyone who was inside that vehicle.

There are many counties in Minneapolis. Some of them do coordinate with ICE. Just one county that you're referring to doesn't allow that coordination to happen. Here's one of the reasons why that might be the case. Because there have been several counties in Minnesota that have been sued by people who have been detained for longer than they were legally allowed to be detained.
