It’s nothing more than transferring money from those in most need to those that don’t need it or spend it. It’s Austerity2. An ideological mechanism that facilitates that transfer.

I’m almost 70. I get a full State Pension, as well as PIP. Cutting my PIP would have absolutely nothing to do with getting me back to work, PIP is about meeting the additional costs of being a disabled person. They just talk a load of rubbish to excuse the harm they do.

If it was truly their goal, they would introduce the support without the cuts lol. The support is a thinly veiled attempt at getting past the human rights act.

Maybe if they want to help disabled people get into work, they should tell the decison makers and health professionals (who usually have no specialism in claimants condition) to stop using work as a reason to not award points
