Here's a question BBC verify. When you report the explanations Israel gives for atrocities they've committed (in this case that they killed Palestinian civilians because of an operational error) why dont you report that they have a history of lying to cover up things they've done

Israel has no choice but to act. Palestinian Hamas is starving and torturing the hostages in Gaza’s tunnels and vowing to repeat the Oct. 7 massacres. Israel has no option but dismantle jihadi Hamas and bring the hostages home. This is not a war Israel chose. Israel must act - to defend its people and to ensure such atrocities can never happen again.
