Ford’s Unicastings are 27% lighter than Tesla’s 2022 Model Y 💡 Weight is one of the greatest efficiency robberies in EVs. Ford’s engineering team has a clear philosophy: “Best part is no part.” The Universal EV Platform uses front and rear Unicastings that deliberately prioritize weight over maximum part consolidation. Wide flat surfaces are excluded from the rear casting for this reason. The result is a 75% reduction in parts compared with a conventional pickup truck body, with the two castings eliminating 146 individual components. Welds drop by 66% and fasteners by 25%. The modules are then integrated, cutting workstations by 40% and raising production speed by 15%. This architecture underpins Ford’s $2 billion transformation of the Louisville plant. The first vehicle, a mid-size electric pickup, is planned for 2027, followed by crossovers and ride-hailing models on the same platform. Trudeau’s rigged EV scam: Foreign-owned bailouts for Ontario & Quebec, Western farmers left to die Buckle up, because we’re about to tear the mask off one of the biggest Liberal betrayals of Western Canada yet. Justin Trudeau, Mark Carney, and the rest of the corrupt Liberal gang—who have the audacity to call themselves "Team Canada" (as if they give a damn about the whole country) have just handed Western farmers a death sentence. And why? Because they need to rig the system to protect the foreign-owned EV battery plants they’ve sunk billions of your tax dollars into. Let me spell it out for you: The Trudeau Liberals imposed a 100% tariff on Chinese-made EVs. Not to protect Canadian automakers (because there basically aren’t any), but to make Chinese EVs too expensive for the market. That way, Canadians are forced to buy overpriced, taxpayer-subsidized EVs from the Liberal-backed foreign companies they’ve handed billions to—Volkswagen, Stellantis, and Northvolt. Oh, but Northvolt just went BANKRUPT in Sweden. That’s right—the company Trudeau and his gang are pouring your money into has already collapsed in its home country. China retaliated against Trudeau’s tariffs—by slapping a 100% tariff on Canadian canola. They don’t care about family farms in the Prairies. They don’t care about lost livelihoods. They don’t care that their vote-buying scheme in Ontario and Quebec is crippling Western agriculture. Because in their political calculus, they have no votes to lose in the West. Let’s be very clear about what’s happening here: The Liberals are forcing Canadians to buy overpriced, subsidized EVs from their hand-picked, foreign-owned plants—while sacrificing Western Canadian farmers to a Chinese trade war. This isn’t a government that works for all Canadians. It’s a government that works for Liberal donors, foreign corporations, and whatever globalist scam Carney and his buddies are cooking up next. Just finished a one-week trip to China. I've now "survived" all the major (~20) L2 self-driving and robotaxi vehicles in both the US and China. Some thoughts & observations: ▶️L2 self-driving I tested major brands like $Huawei, $Li, $NIO, $Xpeng, and $Xiaomi. Overall, they exceeded my expectations. The rides were not overly cautious and handled complex situations (yes, road conditions in China are very challenging!) quite well. Nothing compares to $Tsla's approach. I see imitation learning/end-to-end as the only effective approach for self-driving. While Chinese peers perform well on main roads, they struggle on frontage roads due to reliance on high-precision maps and rule-based methods (e.g. cars stopped in the middle of the road where there was no clear white lining). Chinese EVs' self-driving capabilities are far ahead of those from US and EU brands. I doubt any Chinese players can profit from L2 self-driving, not because it’s not useful, but because it’s hard to differentiate, and price wars dominate the market in China. Chinese consumers and regulators seem much more receptive to self-driving. Even with a 5/10 self-driving capability, cars are practically *hands-free(!)* Insurance-wise, for L3+ cars, OEMs bear responsibility for incidents, so OEMs avoid labeling cars as L3+. ▶️Robotaxi I tested major brands like $Didi, and $Bidu. I'd rate equal to $Waymo, and it's ahead of other peers. However, the same issue applies here: user experience is nearly perfect (in Yizhuang, Beijing), but expansion is the real question. Chinese robotaxi companies are very sophisticated. While the rest of the world focuses on technology, Chinese peers treat it as a product, considering unit economics, operations, mass production, etc. Interestingly, most companies expressed a preference NOT to operate fleets themselves. They aim to be asset-light and let fleet managers handle operations. Policy Support: China has a very clear approval process, driven by data (autonomous driving distance, fully driverless distance, intervention rate, passenger ratings, etc.). ▶️Chinese EVs In major cities like Beijing or Shanghai, EV adoption (green license plates vs. gas cars with blue license plates) seems to be 40%+. If 40% of cars on the road are EVs, then EV penetration (defined as the % of new car sales) must already be over 50%. In shopping malls, the ground floor is filled with EV showrooms—easily 10+ brands, many of which are unfamiliar Chinese brands. It appears almost too easy to make an electric car, which is a stark contrast to the US. $Xiaomi, for example, can achieve a 10% gross profit margin in its first year of operation, compared to $RIVN's -45%. Additionally, $Xiaomi cars are priced at 30% of $RIVN's price. It's fascinating to see how China transitioned from "couldn't make their own gas cars at all (only JVs)" to "dominating EVs globally." The government deserves credit for setting the direction and executing effectively. China now controls the entire supply chain, with $CATL holding 40% of the global market share. 🔹How did it happen? The success of the industry Incentives were set just right: the government provided incentives early on to make EVs and gas cars have comparable MSRPs, allowing consumers to choose based on functionality. This approach differs from how the IRA offers incentives... Perfectly competitive market: $TSLA was brought in, and competition was welcomed, unlike the US, which has a 100% import tax on Chinese EVs. Strategic regulations: License plate restrictions were used effectively; for example, taxis and minivans are required to be EVs. 🔹The challenges Despite the success, the industry faces challenges with low-margin companies and struggling stocks. The intense competition shows no sign of ending. Well-funded global OEMs and Chinese state-owned car companies continue to subsidize, leading to new EV brands emerging annually. The natural tendency in China is to race to the bottom. I think this ties back to China's history as the "world’s factory," where manufacturers price products at "cost plus" versus the US and developing countries, which price based on "affordability/value creation." 🔹The wow EV feature >Software features that surprised me the most: - Everything in the car can be voice-controlled. Not just simple tasks like playing music; users can adjust the height of the steering wheel and set the temperature easily. - Self-parking, which $Tsla has yet to release to all FSD users, is already a table stake in China (I'd rate the quality as 10/10). >Other fun hardware features: - Mini fridges in the car - Infotainment systems - IoT: remote access the car/home via cellphone - all connected together - Heads-up displays - UV-protected glass roofs: $Xiaomi took $Tsla's design, but the glass roof of the $Xiaomi car is made of double layers with silver, blocking 99.9% of UV and infrared rays...as a result, heat is no longer a problem inside the car

🇨🇳 Chinese EVs have been taking the world by storm, whether you like it or not When I look around here on the street in China I try recognize the car brands and I see so many brands I don't know One brand I see a lot is LI, but also BYD, Zeekr and XPeng Apparently there's now 129 (!) EV brands in China producing cars, which kinda shows the massive scale of the EV boom here There's a real historical parallel here with the US a hundred years ago, where there were about 2,000 new American car companies in America. Of course most failed, and only a few remained The same is predicted for China, where only 15 EV brands are predicted to survive in a decade, so a real battle is going down here now to see who will win One interesting thing is that there is one American brand that is remarkably present here, and that's Tesla, you see Teslas everywhere, the Tesla Y often holds the top spot for most cars sold in China, and you see Tesla superchargers here a lot What's also interesting is that where Elon Musk gets so much hatred in the West (not from me), in China he's revered as a hero. Elon is a high IQ engineer and successful entrepreneur. And it's a real artefact of the culture that Chinese respect that kind of person while in the West if you're rich, successful and smart you're seen as a bad person by at least half of society. I think that says a lot about our society and how we educate people in the West and we should really reconsider that. Engineering and entrepreneurship are the key stones of a functioning society. Engineering invents new things and entrepreneurs turn those inventions into businesses that bring them to people. Without both, you don't have jobs, money, and well, prosperity! Chinese culture seems to understand this well, which is why they like Elon Musk and still drive Teslas as one of the few Western cars here. Anyway to continue, in this video I visited the Huawei store and I have to add a correction, because due to new Chinese regulation that requires car brands to fully own their manufacturing, Huawei has "officially" separated their car business, but in fact they still fully design the car, sell the car, and get most of the profit from it. They just can't call it a Huawei car anymore Huawei is interesting because they produce everything, phones, tablets, watches, laptops, and, well indirectly, EV cars too A similar brand is Xiaomi, who actually do own the manufacturing of their EV, and their EV is one of the fastest growing in sales in China It's a real slap in the face for the West I feel that Apple, the creator of the iPhone, wasn't able to produce a car and cancelled their car project, when many of the Chinese phone companies are producing their own cars now with relative ease Of course the iPhone is produced in China, and manufacturing is in China, so being closer to the manufacturing physically, it must have been easier to design a car, than try to do it remotely from Apple's office in Cupertino But it does seem significant that we couldn't do this While I'm writing this the news comes in that Germany's car and greater manufacturing industry is tanking, their energy costs have gone up 2-3x due cutting off the Russian gas, and they've simply become too expensive overnight Germany's car industry, the historical center of car production in the world with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Volkswagen, has started laying off 100,000+ employees and scaling down their production due to declining sales, which are a direct result of the competition from China offering cheaper, more advanced EVs with better software than the Germans And I mean you can feel it, I walk around in EV car stores here and the cars look great, the interior looks modern, the software is miles ahead of the clunky interfaces of German cars, most EVs here have a little cute robot on the dashboard that you talk to, so you never have to touch the screen anymore to do anything, like "switch on the wipers" or "route me to my hotel" etc. The EVs here honestly do not feel cheap, they're well built and comfortable Europe has tried to stop the rise of the Chinese EVs in the European market with a 45% tariff, but even with that tariffs, many Europeans still prefer to buy Chinese EVs over others, and they're still cheaper than the German cars! The US went further with a 100% tarrif, and that stopped them from being sold mostly in the US because it's not profitable anymore for the Chinese One thing I have to add which you probably know is that the Chinese government does heavily subsidize their EV industry (with about $230B+ in the last decade), it's not a secret and their subsidies do not compare to the ones the US and EU provide for their industries, which gives Chinese EV companies the (unfair) advantage to produce them at a discount and sell them abroad cheaper, which is exactly why the EU and US put tariffs on them Even with the subsidies, the engineering and production and software is impressive and feels very modern, I'm a Tesla fan, own a 2025 Tesla Y, but the Chinese EVs feel and look more modern to me. They usually have more screens, more features etc. There's real innovation happening here it feels like And that's kinda the conclusion you get being in China with every industry, they've already by far departed from being cheap clones of Western products, they're now at the next stage of adding their own features and ideas, which is what we always criticize Chinese on "they're not creative", well they are creative, they just start from the point where Western products are now, and then start innovating from there (instead of starting from scratch fully, I mean, why would they?) If you ask Grok how does the future of the Western car industry look like, especially the European/German ones, it's pessimistic. The only positive it can find is that maybe European brands can focus on premium and exclusivity. Like they do with Hermes hand bags, but then do the same with cars. BMW and Mercedes-Benz are of course luxury brands and they could survive by remaining premium and make money that way. But the regular middle and low end of car production in Europe (and America?) will most probably be wiped out and replaced by the Chinese I think That is if the Americans and Europeans will keep allowing them into their markets But even if they don't, the Chinese are happily going to the rest of the world like South America, the Middle East or the rest of Asia where you see BYDs literally everywhere As a European this does feel bittersweet, but then again we've all been shouting from the roof tops for years that this would happen if you didn't create a pro-business climate where startups would sprout, so now it's kinda "I told you so"

Western China-watchers love calling China the climate villain while writing their complaints from devices that had their carbon footprint offshored to China. China is the factory of the world, it manufactures much of what the planet uses. Yet its per capita CO₂ emissions are still far lower than America’s (~9.1 t vs ~13.6 t per person). That’s an astonishing feat by itself. Even more impressive: China’s emissions have now been flat or falling for 21 straight months (since March 2024), with a slight decline in full-year 2025 — all while its economy and exports kept growing. How? By leading the planet in clean-energy deployment at a scale no one else comes close to: record solar + wind builds, massive nuclear expansion, and fusion breakthroughs. The same countries that powered their own industrial revolutions with dirty coal, and offshored their own pollution, now lecture China for cleaning up faster than they ever did. They wouldn’t have cared if China polluted even more than they do today, as long as it stayed in its place as a simple order-taker: quietly making whatever the West demanded and slapping Western brands on it. But the moment China started innovating on its own and building its own world-class brands in EVs, solar, batteries, high-speed rail, phones and more, that’s when the narrative flipped. Suddenly they couldn’t accept what China had become. It was never really about the climate. It was always about China out-competing and out-innovating them. Elon Musk just told you what Tesla was actually built for. It was never cars. Musk: “If successful, Optimus will be the biggest product ever.” The automobile reshaped civilization. The smartphone rewired human behavior. He’s saying Optimus dwarfs both. Then he ranked it against everything else he’s building. Musk: “It might be more of my mental cycles than anything else, any other single thing, on Optimus.” The man building the world’s most valuable car company, landing rockets on drone ships, and racing toward superintelligence spends most of his thinking on the robot. Musk: “It will have the manual dexterity of a human, an AI mind that can navigate and comprehend reality, and be made in very high volume.” Human hands. A mind that comprehends the physical world. Volume manufacturing. Three problems no one has solved. He’s going after all three at once, in the same machine. Musk: “None of the actuators in Optimus are available from an existing supply chain. We have to recreate it from scratch.” No existing parts. No existing suppliers. No existing industry. He’s building the entire manufacturing base from nothing. Then putting a robot on top of it. This is the pattern people keep missing. He didn’t build an electric car. He built Gigafactories, a global charging network, and a battery supply chain that made EVs inevitable. The car was the output. He didn’t build a rocket. He built the engines, the factory, and the landing systems until reusable launch became routine. The rocket was the output. Then the machine handed him a second business. Global satellite internet had been impossible for decades, not technically but financially, because nobody could afford to launch thousands of satellites. Once the rockets came back and flew again, that cost collapsed. Starlink wasn’t a new bet. It was leftover capacity. Same play. Every time. Build the machine that builds the machine. Then the thing becomes unstoppable. Optimus is that play at a scale that makes everything before it look small. Every product in human history extended a single human capability. The hammer extended the fist. The telescope extended the eye. The computer extended the mind. Optimus doesn’t extend one capability. It replicates all of them. At volume. Every economy, every government, every career path, every border ever drawn was organized around one scarcity. Human hands and human hours. Optimus is what happens when that scarcity disappears. For ten thousand years, human worth was measured by output. What you could build. What you could carry. What you could produce. Every one of those years was spent building tools to escape that measurement. Not once did we stop to ask what’s waiting on the other side. We’re approaching the moment the measurement breaks. Mark Zuckerberg just described the obsolescence of every institution on Earth and delivered it like a product update. Zuckerberg: “I just think in the future almost everyone is gonna have the power of a 10,000-person organization.” He did not say better tools. He did not say smarter apps. He said the full cognitive output of ten thousand human beings. Packaged into a product. Handed to one person. That is not an upgrade. That is the end of the reason human beings organize at all. Companies exist because one brain is not enough. Governments exist because coordination requires hierarchy. Universities exist because knowledge demands infrastructure. Every institution ever built was a workaround for the same limitation. No single person could do it alone. Zuckerberg is telling you that limitation is about to disappear. The 500-person startup becomes one founder and an AI stack. The law firm becomes one attorney and a system that never sleeps. The hospital becomes one doctor carrying every specialist in their pocket. That is not speculation. That is a deployment schedule. And the man writing it runs a 70,000-person company. He employs 70,000 people and just told the world one person will soon need none of them. That is not a prediction. That is a confession from the man who will be first to act on it. But the part nobody is discussing matters more. This technology does not land on everyone equally. It lands first on the people who already command 10,000-person organizations. Zuckerberg does not get the power of 10,000 people. He already has that. He gets the power of 10,000 organizations. Every revolution in history was sold as liberation. The printing press was supposed to democratize knowledge. It built media empires. The internet was supposed to democratize commerce. It built trillion-dollar platforms. The tool always arrives as liberation. It always settles as leverage. And leverage always consolidates upward. Zuckerberg is not wrong about the capability. One person will do what ten thousand once did. But the question nobody is asking is the only one that matters. If everyone wields the output of 10,000 people, what is a single person actually worth? And then Zuckerberg answered his own question without realizing it. Zuckerberg: “If the intelligence of a 10,000-person company is not greater than the intelligence of a single person, then what are we doing here?” He meant it as a case for AI. That is the most brutal thing a CEO has ever said about the people who work for him.

Elon Musk just declared war on the oldest enemy in human history. Not a nation. Not an ideology. Scarcity. For ten thousand years, every war, every empire, every revolution traces back to the same root. Not enough. Not enough food. Not enough land. Not enough labor. Not enough energy. Every political system ever built was a different strategy for dividing a pie that was never big enough. Capitalism. Communism. Socialism. Different answers to the same question, who eats when the table runs short. Musk: “Tesla is obviously about sustainable technology, and at this point, we’ve added sustainable abundance to our mission.” Sustainable abundance. Two words that contradict everything economics has taught for 250 years. The entire discipline was founded on the study of scarce resources. Adam Smith. Ricardo. Keynes. Marx. Every one of them took scarcity as a law of nature. Musk is treating it as a temporary engineering problem. Musk: “People often talk about solving global poverty, or how to give everyone a very high standard of living. I think the only way to do this is AI and robotics.” Politicians have promised to end poverty since the French Revolution. Not one has come close. Because you cannot redistribute your way out of scarcity. You can move the shortage around. You can rename it. You can subsidize it. You cannot legislate it out of existence. But you can engineer it out of existence. When an autonomous robot can mine the lithium, build the solar array, wire the factory, and assemble the product for nothing but sunlight and software, the cost of labor approaches zero. When labor hits zero, goods follow. When goods hit zero, poverty has no mechanism left to survive. This is not philanthropy. This is not policy. This is physics. The assumption behind modern civilization is that a decent life requires decades of grinding labor. That was never a law of nature. It was a limitation of our tools. Every government that ever tried to solve poverty was treating a symptom. Musk is deleting the disease. Every empire that ever rose did so by controlling scarcity. Every empire that ever fell did so because scarcity won. The civilization taking shape right now will be the first in history built not on managing scarcity, but on eliminating it. Poverty will not be ended by a speech, a summit, or a tax code. It will be engineered into extinction.

A shameful guillotining of consideration and debate of amendments to the ‘Hate Crimes’ legislation took place last Wednesday night in the Seanad. The Bill goes back to the Dáil now. So we had no Report Stage for the Minister to explain her thinking; no explanation for the new, dangerous definition of ‘gender’ other than that it is inclusive; even a claim by the Minister not to understand my position on the issue. Let’s spell it out one more time. The Bill comes up with a new definition of ‘gender’ that conflates the issues of ‘gender’, as always understood, and ‘gender identity’. The timelessly understood idea of the gender binary, i.e. male and female, is displaced by a new, fluid and unscientific gender spectrum notion. This conflation is totally unnecessary for the protection of any individual or class of person. The Bill could simply have listed both ‘gender’ and ‘gender identity or expression’ as separate protected characteristics, (as was done for example in the 2017 Victims of Crime Act). But the Minister would not do this. No adequate reason was ever offered for the new definition other than that it was 'futureproofing' (Simon Harris) and ‘inclusive’ (Helen McEntee). The new definition will have an immediate contagion effect across all criminal legislation aligned or altered by the ‘Hate Crimes’ Bill. The same politicians who foisted this on us will (if returned at the election) continue to seek to harness all laws built around the ordinary meaning of ‘gender’ (as in male or female) and apply these instead to an indefinite range of gender identities. The new definition will give new cover to those promoting gender ideology to young people—especially in new school curricula. It will give ideological support to the invasion by certain men of womens’ spaces and sports. It will provide cover for dangerous HSE approaches to gender dysphoria. It will be used to shore up the unpopular Athena Swan charters imposed by the HEA on third level academics. It will lead to a dismantling of the Equality Acts. Men can be women, and you simply have to suck it up. This Government sought to erase women and the concept of ‘mother’ from the Constitution earlier this year as part of the same fringe ideology. The People, by a large majority, stopped them. The Government refused to learn and doubled down on its woke policy. Your TDs could actually block this Bill in the coming days—if they were willing to defh the party whip. So please let them know what you think. I told the Minister on Wednesday that she will not deserve the votes of any parents of schoolgoing children if she maintains this corrupt definition of ‘gender’ in this legislation. Politicians who will not stand up for sex/gender really do not deserve to be returned. They are enablers of harmful practices. The voters will have an opportunity to choose new representatives soon for the next Dail. They should punish irresponsible TDs and choose more wisely next time. Look for good quality Independents and sympathetic small parties, and Members of the larger parties only if they vocally and clearly defy their political masters. We urgently need change.

None of this means the dollar collapses tomorrow. It still settles the bulk of global trade and holds the majority of reserves. But the direction of travel is clear: China is systematically building the plumbing (gold, payments, commodities control) for a multipolar currency world, while the U.S. is being told by one of its own top bankers that the clock is running if it loses its edge. Soon as China banned retail paper gold market, Chinese investors turned to tokenized gold on blockchains. The game is long. The pieces are moving.

I tested this tool. The SEO recommendations provided by AI to me are very generic. Maybe because the video I uploaded wasn't detailed enough or the prompt I used wasn't good enough. But it should give you an idea of where the AI is heading. After devouring informational websites, AI is coming for consulting services. . . I have been saying repeatedly for years, that if a big part of your job involves doing repetitive manual tasks and/or following checklists/SOPs, it will be fully automated. It is just a matter of time. Now, take a close look at your day-to-day work and see how many repetitive tasks you carry out each day that do not require much thinking but just follow a checklist or SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Now the question is whether you will be one of those few lucky human beings the machines will still require.
