Step-by-Step Guide to Register a .pi Domain on Pi Network 🛑If you’re already a Pi user, start with Step 2 or 3 depending on your progress. Step 1: Join the Pi Network - Download the App: Install the Pi Network app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). - Sign Up: Register using your phone number or Facebook account. You’ll need an invitation code from an existing user ( mine is Makarios3900 ). - Complete Onboarding: Follow the app’s instructions to set up your account and start mining Pi cryptocurrency on your phone. 🕵️♀️ Step 2: Pass KYC Verification - Why It’s Needed: To participate in advanced features like domain bidding or wallet creation, you must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification to prove your identity. - Process: 1. Open the Pi app and go to the KYC section. 2. Submit required documents (e.g., government-issued ID) as prompted. 3. Wait for approval. - Result: Once approved, you’re a verified Pioneer with access to Mainnet features. 🕵️♂️ Step 3: Set Up Your Pi Wallet - Create a Wallet: 1. Open on the Pi Browser app (separate from the main Pi app, available on iOS/Android). 2. Sign in to the with your Pi wallet passphrase - Eligibility: You must have a Pi in your available balance in your Pi mainnet wallet to participate. Exchange-held Pi requires additional steps. 🕵️♀️ Step 5: Bid on a .pi Domain - Choose a Domain: Search for the domain name you wish to bid for by entering the name of the search bar in the auction page available. Enter your bid amount in Pi (minimum bids vary; check the auction UI). 3. Submit your bid by confirming the amount of your bid. Bids uses claimable balance operations and are reversible. The bid will be automatically reverted or cancel if there's an higher bid and the Pi will be returned. - Win the Auction: The highest bid at the auction’s close wins. Auction on a domain will close if no higher bid is received after 24hours a bid was made. - Cost: After winning, you own the domain but may owe an annual registration fee (similar to traditional domains, payable in Pi). 🕵️♀️ Step 6: For Exchange Pi Users (Optional) - A separate process will be created for people that acquired via exchanges as they only possess multiplex addresses which starts with M.
