Ping pong on Quest, specifically Eleven Table Tennis, is one of the best out there. It’s definitely more feature-rich than this version on Vision Pro. That said, the visual realism on the Vision Pro is really good!

Today is a great day for XR. After being available on the Quest, the content creation platform Figmin XR has now arrived on the Apple Vision Pro. From a Vision Pro user’s perspective: This app offers so many breathtaking experiences, such as stepping into paintings, exploring portals, and playing with physics in your room, that it’s incredibly addictive. Immersive art has seriously become my new favorite thing in spatial computing. From a UI/UX designer’s perspective: Wow. I was amazed at how the interface feels both completely new and intuitive. I’ll create a separate video focusing on creating with Figmin XR, but my first impression is that they’ve already figured out how 3D interfaces could work. Highly impressed. At $19.99, it’s worth every one of them. I highly recommend checking it out.

I've been thinking about games that feel truly ageless - ones that are essentially as enjoyable and satisfying today as they were when they first released. You can go back to classics like Pong, Space Invaders, or Pac-Man, but it’s hard to deny that you can see (and feel) their age now. They’re still fun, but time hasn’t passed them by unnoticed. I would argue that Tetris is the most ageless game ever made. It never relied on flashy graphics or impressive sound; its strength lies in one of the simplest and most brilliant concepts in gaming history. I'm confident it will still be played in 100 years - and that it will have exactly the same addictive appeal then as it does now. Can you think of any other games that fit this pretty rare category?

In order for your Vision Pro to feel lighter, you actually have to make it heavier. Doesn’t make sense? Oh, yes it does. Over the past few days, I’ve thoroughly tested the new Dual Knit Band. I used it for six hours straight while working, watched two lengthy movies, and played Porta Nubi for far too long. Trust me when I say — this is the most comfortable I’ve ever been in Vision Pro. The secret lies in its weight distribution, achieved by adding weight to the back strap. That might sound like a bad deal at first, but my head didn’t feel tired once. The band is compatible with the original Vision Pro and can be purchased separately for $99 (or 115€ incl. VAT in Germany)

This might be the most fun I’ve had in Vision Pro yet 😅 In AR Helicopters, you can fly your own miniature chopper using any controller connected to the headset (I used my Switch Pro Controller). While I love the hand and eye controls, the strong haptic feedback of the controller really enhanced the illusion of actually flying the helicopter. The occlusion and sound effects made it feel like a real, physical toy. It just goes to show that after being a productivity powerhouse, a multimedia heaven, and a thousand other things — Vision Pro can also be a very expensive toy for adult children! I’m just glad there wasn’t a real pilot in that helicopter 😂 🔊 Sound on!

First real look at my sword fighting hobby project - Responsive, accurate, freeform combat using physics that are fun, not frustrating, with intuitive controls that are easy to learn, hard to master. A lot of physics based sword fighting games have come out lately but IMO none strike that difficult balance between control, animation and physics...trying my best to pull it off here. This early test is hacked together but it's already showing promise. Feels good to attack and defend and really gives you the feeling that you are fighting with a sword; distance, timing, weapon placement, etc. all matter. Anyway, very WIP with lots to do...and for once, don't look at the feet! I'll take care of that someday ;) #UE5 #gamedev #physics #swordfighting

Spatial videos on Apple Vision Pro are certainly cool, but I’m already taking 3D immersive videos using my iPhone and viewing them in mixed reality on Meta Quest 3 This is one of the most WOW moments I’ve experienced with technology. Recorded memories are in pretty good quality, real size and 6DoF, meaning you can walk around it, get closer. And it’s clear that this is still far from being perfect, but I can feel the presence. My first impressions of Saros: -Sound design is absolutely insane and creates a very immersive atmosphere -Highly addictive gameplay that is hard to put down -The cinematic imagery is insane and reminds me of Dune -Controls are on point and feel smooth, responsive and precise at all times -Story is very interesting so far, with mysterious and engaging story moments -Amazing voice acting -Facial expressions are excellent and a clear step up from Returnal -Amazing DualSense features -Game looks super sharp on the PS5 Pro and runs great -Intense boss fights -The permanent upgrade system is immensely rewarding If the game maintains this level of quality, it’s a clear GOTY contender for me. I have really debated posting it, but I’ve found it pretty challenging to be in Utah, grieving someone that most of my community here doesn’t know personally. I found a great utility app called Dock Pro by Chad Milburn that gives your Vision Pro a floating dock with quick access to apps, bookmarks, iMessage contacts, and shows the time and battery percentage of your Vision Pro. It’s fully customizable, and you can even add separators or gaps. I keep it under my virtual ultrawide monitor all the time and use it to quickly open Music or start an iMessage conversation with my wife. So far, it has boosted my productivity a lot while working. The app’s design looks super cohesive with visionOS, which is always a big plus for me as a designer. I’m giving it a 4/5 Visions 🥽🥽🥽🥽 and highly recommend checking it out!

If you're any kind of creator, listen to me. You do not need AI to create 2D or 3D animation or art. Honestly, you dont even need to know HOW to animate yourself. Sometimes, all you need is an idea, a vision, patience, and the right artist who can bring that vision to life. And if you cant afford an artist yet, thats okay too. You can always learn, practice, fail, and improve yourself so that way you can spearhead your own projects. Another option is also just saving your money so you can "indie" fund your project. I’ve done both. Ive hired animators, and Ive also learned how to do it myself because, honestly, I got tired of waiting on people. I got tired of being disappointed by speed, quality, communication, or work ethic. Personally for me, at some point, it became a "Fine ill do it myself" type of situation and literally "picked up the pencil" myself. And I did. It took years. A lot of frustration, a lot of late nights, a lot of self doubt, but every step forward came from actually showing up for myself and my work. No shortcuts. Not pretending im an animator. actually being one. Not letting a machine, make my journey FOR me. What drives me is passion, discipline, and doing the work over and over again because I love animation. The best part is looking back and seeing that my work improved because of ME. Because I kept going. because I gave enough of a shit to get better, thats real human growth, no AI needed. You can do it too. Start from nothing. become something.

Personally for me, at some point, it became a "Fine ill do it myself" type of situation and literally "picked up the pencil" myself. And I did. It took years. A lot of frustration, a lot of late nights, a lot of self doubt, but every step forward came from actually showing up for myself and my work. No shortcuts. Not pretending im an animator. actually being one. Not letting a machine, make my journey FOR me. What drives me is passion, discipline, and doing the work over and over again because I love animation. The best part is looking back and seeing that my work improved because of ME. Because I kept going. because I gave enough of a shit to get better, thats real human growth, no AI needed. You can do it too. Start from nothing. become something.
