What sets your olives apart from other USA-grown varieties?

Great question! 1) Soil and climate: Spain has arguably the best climate in the world to grow olive oil (largest producing country). The Mediterranean region's warm climate, sunshine hours, and strong soil provide great conditions to produce olive oil. Most award-winning olive oils come from the Mediterranean for this reason 2) When you consume olive oil from the Mediterranean region, you are consuming olives in their native land Arbequina, picual, and hobjiblanca olives from Spain Koroneiki and kalamata olives from Greece Leccino, frantoio, and coratina olives from Italy It is not the same when you grow these trees in California 3) Terrior: similar to wine, the geography and climate of a region influence the characteristics of a product and the Mediterranean terroir provides distinct flavors and qualities that are hard to replicate elsewhere 4) There's something to be said about the cultural importance of olive oil in these regions. The farms are often owned by a single family and have been owned for generations, passing down knowledge and tradition
