A car belonging to residents in the area had just pulled in behind the crowd of anti-ICE protesters and was unfortunately stuck in the crossfire when of tear gas, flash bangs, pepper spray, and pepper balls as a result. There were kids in the vehicle including a baby. I gave them all the Sudecon wipes that I had on me, and police, fire, and paramedic came soon after.

There was no crowd, no physical threat, just an unhinged agent spraying a chemical weapon all around a neighborhood. And just so we are clear… Pepper spray is force. You don’t get to deploy it because you feel tense, or want to intimidate a neighborhood. Force has to be tied to an actual, immediate threat. Spraying blindly down a residential street puts kids, families, and bystanders at risk. It’s reckless, excessive, and it’s exactly what happens when agents think accountability doesn’t apply to them.
