I believe in lore they can't go into the hollow for long. Not cause of corruption they literally die. So it would have to be a eous like situation where they control a body that looks like them from the HDD

It would be so cool to have the proxy act like Pokemon Trainer from Smash Bros and just fight various Bangboo.

It’d be nice. But story-wise, she and Wise are too susceptible to Hollow corruption and wouldn’t last long. Besides, they’re more like the smart action heroes, like the Doctor or L (in the third live-action Death Note movie). They’re more suited behind the scenes.
