"I'd much rather watch this golf tournament [Players Championship] than YouTube golf." - Rory McIlroy

People actually offended that a top 5 golfer in the world doesn’t watch amateur golf videos on YouTube? Weird

Legends are made, not born. ⚔️ Watch competitors battle it out on Surviving Mann and see who earns the title of MVP! #SurvivingMann #LegendsInTheMaking #NavySEALs #SpecOps

Do pro footballers watch Sunday League football?

it’s so easy to hate this guy. it’s like he craves being a dick. the professional answer is “I support all the youtube golf guys that grow the game”

I don't get the hate on what Rory says here. He just says he has a different preference than those whose preference is YT golf content. There's room for both professional and YT golf in the world.

Rory is a proxy for establishment old-man golf doesn’t realize that YT golf is unscripted, entertaining, approachable, and profitable -> everything they wanted TGL to be (which is interesting but corporate). I’d rather watch the same pros play high stakes money games on YT.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what he said. He just doesn’t enjoy it but said he’s happy for those who do. And people are whining about this😭

What a midget little cnt

I'm not surprised Rory doesn't watch YouTube golf, but to not be fascinated with how it's grown the game of golf is a little strange. Especially considering he's done several videos with Barstool's Foreplay

Why not watch both?

Does he think in between practice, practice rounds, tournaments, travel, sponsorship responsibilities, business ventures and being a parent, that he is sitting around and watching YouTube golf?
