my reaction when my boss tells me about a deadline for monday on friday afternoon:

Man, I really need to get a Playdate. Some really creative devs making games for it

When I first stumbled across this, I was like "Oh, another pixel, black & white game, I wonder if there's anything different going on here." Then I see the player wind up the chair swing and was hooked.

Yeah there are a lot about, I think obra dinn was probably the pioneer. I like it, but in this case, it's because it's on playdate though- if it was for PC I'd probably choose a different art style (just because b&w dither doesn't make a huge amount of contextual sense here lol)
