playing Metal Gear Solid 2 right after MGS1 is making me appreciate how seismic the leap was from PS1 to PS2 having each bottle be breakable and even seeing individual ice cubes slowly melt over time is an insane level of detail this must've been mind blowing back then... show more

I basically bought Zone of the Enders for the mgs 2 demo. I had 15 people crammed into my small room and everyone was howling with excitement when the title screen came up. We played through the demo so many times discovering new shit to do like Snake kissing the poster girls 😂 It was indeed one hell of a generational leap and quite the memorable one too.

We can't spill the beans about the release date of Maki: Paw of Fury, but make no mistake, things are happening! 🫘😎 We remind you that the game is coming to #NintendoSwitch and #PC #Steam and you can play the demo on PC, here ⤵️ >>> Have a great day!

My neighbor and I spent many nights playing MGS2 following the Bradygames strategy guide. We were amazed of all the tiny details Kojima packed into that game from the wet foot prints to real light reflection in bottles. GTA3 and Sons of Liberty was in a constant carousel ~ 2002

This is still mind-blowing considering this wasn't done through a middleware software and they hand animated all of this

Can confirm, it was surreal.

And still kinda is in modern gaming in a lot of cases.

MGS2 is one of those games that still blows my mind. So much attention to detail for a game from that era.

It really was, it was one of the coolest "Now THIS is next gen" moments in gaming.

PlayStation 1 and 2 are iconic beyond all metrics. Sony solidified fans for life releasing two perfect consoles in a row.

Yeah I remember my brother showed me the ice cubes melting in the demo. Kojima is a glorious madman.

I remember doing this back in the day, it felt so good and such a leap in tech going from PS1 to PS2, also shooting things like glass windows, and the scene in the cupboard knowing the melons and other fruit off from the shelves.
