Playing through Devil May Cry again and I don't think it gets enough credit for it's beautifully eerie vibe.

DMC1's atmosphere and level design are unmatched in the series 😔

The part of the castle theme where it's sounds like a circus adds to the coolness of the puppet demons

Okay wait I absolutely love that the camera makes sure you can't see that the staircase cuts off until you're right about to fall off. In Level Design class we were told to control the reveal of information so that we could create "oh shit" moments like this and manage tension.

Nah this is based I love this games atmosphere. Compared to other dmc games this one my #1 favorite dmc game

DMC1 gets nowhere near the love it deserves, with a soundtrack that's both haunting & bad-ass. Its roots as a RE game really gives it an atmospheric creepy vibe that, to this day, hasn't been recaptured. I especially loved reading Dante's thoughts while investigating the castle😍

I want a new dmc game to have the same atmosphere and tone as dmc1. Idk if they can pull it off today but it’s something I’d want. That or they just remake dmc1 for the love of god.
