@splinetool nope I'm just focusing on texture and light for now .. I'm still too accustomed to build in C4D .. I'm creating a bunch of texture ( gold, oil, silver, glass, iridescent ) and putting all in a file to reuse for later

The sky texture in Blender 5 changed how I work with environments. Multiple scattering alone is worth the update — realistic light, accurate shadows, full mood control. No HDRIs needed for environment work. But a clean sky is boring. So I layer on top: procedural clouds or real stock photos, gradient mask to fade the horizon, volume for atmosphere. Sky texture handles the light. Everything else is just background. Full breakdown on YouTube:
