Playing with the Coriolis force. A rotating merry-go-round is a helpful demonstration of the fictitious force that appears to act on objects moving within a rotating reference frame, such as the Earth.

The coriolis force is not fictitious and can be described mathematically

The Coriolis force was first predicted by Jesuit Priest Giovanni Battista Riccioli in his Almagestum Novum (1651)

For years I thought the whole toilet flushes in Australia thing was a joke. Then I saw a toilet flush in Australia and it blew my mind.

Absolutely, using a rotating merry-go-round to demonstrate the Coriolis force is an effective and practical way to illustrate this concept. As objects move along the spinning platform, observers on the merry-go-round perceive a deflection in the apparent path of the objects due to the Coriolis force. This helps to convey the influence of the Earth's rotation on phenomena like wind patterns and ocean currents on a larger scale.

Well... people who shoot "intuitively" get this. You aim at where your pigeon is going to be, not where it is when you pull the trigger. Same thing releasing an arrow from horseback; both your motion & target motion must be factored. Granted, moving faster than balls, but same.

This “fictitious force” that is centrifugal-force, is also known – according to Einsteinian general relativity, a.k.a. the modern “law of gravity” – as _gravity_.
