During the Bethesda acquisition, you were quick to tell PlayStation fans to buy a PC or an Xbox if they didn’t want to miss out on those exclusives. So why the double standard now? If someone doesn’t want to miss out, why not just tell them to get a PS5?

Theory is Incorrect. If you look at the pc sales of playstation studio titles, it the games that have been the longest wait which has the biggest sells

lol hahahahaha Parris trying so hard to become an analyst when all his analysis fell flat for years. only to move goal post lol PS and Xbox are completely different businesses now. it’s like when Sega had to become a fulltimenmultiplatform publisher

You talking like we care its a "mistake". The only mistake is you acknowledging bull shht and not real important factors.

Problem is you can’t have both. If PS did day and date on PC, of course they’ll have more first party sales. No brainer. But there’s also a big chance that their platform revenue: console sales and store front take a hit. Not worth the trade off for ps.

Seeing as to how you have championed every dumb move that Xbox has made that has dilluted the brand, I think you're business acumen on what Sony should do near nonexistent

C'mon Parris. You can do it. 😂

Man i remember you saying “you can’t spending 70 billion and not think about making the games exclusive to Xbox” Respect to you but you’re wrong here

a healthy games industry is an industry where multiple platform holders still exist that create unique experiences in their platforms. those uniqueness may vary on intensity but there is nonetheless. this whole it’s a mistake narrative stems from your continued goalpost moving

My guy lol. I agree that if they released quicker, they would sell more. They also dont push their graphics much further on PC. I have said before that PC gamers and console gamers are two separate groups. Xbox blurring the lines also has a role to play here. Also, their exclusives sell their systems. They just value the console above all. Something Xbox did not, and its demise has most definitely given Sony Pause. Outside live service games as long as Playstation is the king you wont see 1st party games day and date. Witht the prices of PC right now why not draw people in ps5 or ps5 pro.

This point never acknowledges the drop in console game sales, hardware, accessories, 3rd party sales and MTX that happens when you do that. Day and date suggest they should follow the strategy that has Xbox in the hole they are in now. Following that strategy makes 0 sense.

Incorrect. Console exclusivity drives console sales. How many switch 2’s are selling if all of Nintendo’s IPs are on other consoles?

If Sony wants to prioritize their store and hardware sure, i hope this doesn't turn into raising price of games to $80 or shutting down studio.

Oh says who.... Ah, the Xbox shill

You should phrase your takes better PlayStation not putting games on PC would be a mistake for YOU, for them it’s not the best idea and you know the reasons why Exclusives drive value to your platform and prevents it from falling apart the way Xbox fell just after it dropped exclusives

Xbox died when all games went day and date to pc. Y advocate for Sony to commit suicide also?

extremely disingenuous. It does not make sense to have your games everywhere if you're running a platform business and you know this. There is a reason Xbox platform is destroyed because your games are available everywhere. There is a reason Asha Sharma has to "return to Xbox"

You argue that PC players don’t want to play 12 month old PlayStation games and that’s why they don’t sell. How do you explain FH5’s performance on PlayStation after a 4 year window? Single Player PlayStation titles don’t need PC

I thought it was good to do something different?

Cry about it

If people buy the games outside of PlayStation (like PC), they do not continue to spend money in the PlayStation Store. They are holding on to the last of the 30+ year-old gamers that haven’t moved on from the old model of gaming. PlayStation NEEDS to sell hardware.

Look where did that put Xbox 🤣🤣🤣

Dude wants PlayStation to be like Xbox so badly

The most important thing to remember about this discussion is these “GAMES” are not just intended to sell themselves but they are intended to sell: The Brand The Platform The Hardware The Marketplace The Subscription The Other Games The Add on Content @nib95_ @goodHunterBL

As long as Nintendo and PlayStation keep making exclusives for their consoles I will keep supporting them.

These shitbots are already shaking if the rumors turn out to be true lmaoooooo

So gta 6 is barely gonna sell on pc huh?

“PlayStation not putting games on PC would be a mistake”

Playstation games belong on Playstation not other platforms 🤔

This all because we didn’t want to sign up for a psn account with Helldivers?

Depends what the PC market turns into within the next two years. 3-5 years ago, building a PC was fairly attainable for the average player. Unfortunately, that barrier to entry is getting dramatically more expensive by the day. Platform holders can and should reduce that barrier

Your entire argument crumbles when you stop and think for a second. “How often does valve make games?” …the money for Sony isn’t in first party titles, never has been. They exist solely to sell the console and draw people in. Sony got greedy and forgot that but facts are facts

You're literally advocating for the same exact thing that started to kill the Xbox business Day & date on PC was the original turning point for Xbox, & clearly it's led to less people being in Xbox's ecosystem Why are y'all still pretending this direction wasn't a failure? 🤔😮💨

Buy a PS5 and long live the exclusives!
