PLEASE do NOT try to build firearms with a 3D printer. At worst case they will fall apart as you try and shoot it. Best case it falls apart and shoots you.

Anyone here actually 3d print? I have been for over 15 years and this is totally viable if you know what you're doing. That being said, dont buy a $120 ender 3 and expect these results.

This was printed on an Ender

Don't be too mean, ya'll. He didn't double down on being wrong. That's a rare thing on the internet. Don't make him regret agreeing with us

The only parts I would consider using 3D printed parts for an AR platform weapon would be a front grip, the stock, and the Pistol grip. Everything else has to be made with the proper material

This isn't an "AR platform"

Wait'll they find out some people have lathes and mills and can build all the parts.

If anyone ever designs some Frankenstein's monster of a gun that can decide to shoot its creator, I'm pretty sure it'll be you

Ok, now try it with a 3D printed barrel.

@grok is this true?
