BINICHELLA CHALLENGES Direk Lauren, the prominent figure in the Philippine TV industry and leader of Star Magic and ABS-CBN broadcasting revealed how little time and rushing preparing for the Mojave stage was given to BINI at Coachella. However he made sure they were taken care of. The girls only had 30 minutes to prepare the stage such as lighting and production with no soundcheck or time to practice, making what blooms called “blind execution”. Also, normally Coachella artists have agencies pay for billboards to promote their Coachella appearances. In this case actually, BINI’s was crowdfunded by donor Blooms and organized by Team Bloom USA TEAM BLOOM USA to make the billboard possible due to the financial struggles of management. With a flawless performance despite tribulations, Having nearly 20 million views on Instagram, trending throughout the weekend and being one of the most talked about artists in Coachella, makes BINI one of the greatest success stories that ever came from the Philippines during the festival. For Season 3, we went back out to share snacks and grocery packs with our homeless kababayans and those who needed a little comfort and reminder that they’re not alone. This week, a group of women and children were denied Iftar at a local Oxford mosque. We hope to bring the people affected and the concerned mosque together to discuss how to learn, change, and grow.
