The objection by the representative of India to Pakistan's mention of Jammu and Kashmir in the Arria Formula meeting was not surprising to us. India, as a party to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, has actually refused to implement the Security Council resolutions on this dispute, and has even refused to cooperate with the United Nations, including the good offices of the Secretary-General, and with all those mechanisms that form part of Chapter VI. As I stated in my statement, Kashmir is an international dispute. It is on the agenda of the Security Council. It was never a part of India, and it is not, and cannot be, part of India — because this was the core question at the heart of these Security Council resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir. The purpose was to determine the status of this territory: whether it wishes to be part of India or Pakistan. That status has not yet been determined, because the resolutions have not been implemented. To assert that Kashmir is a part of India is, in fact, itself a violation of the relevant Security Council resolutions. I stood on the steps of the Supreme Court Monday . Donald Trump has done real things for MAHA. I believe that. But when the Department of Justice shows up to defend Bayer and Monsanto against the American people, against the health of our children, I have to say: you got this one wrong. Liability protection for corporations that poison people is not a conservative value. It is not a Republican value. It is not a Democratic value. It is not an American value. It is the opposite of a free market. It is the government putting its thumb on the scale for corporations that are losing in court because their products are causing cancer. Every child in this country deserves to be healthy. That is not a political statement. That is the only statement that matters. So in the words of the President himself: we are going to fight, fight.

Yes, indeed, this is lawlessness by any standard. Even by banana republic standards, this is still lawlessness. Your country has a constitution, it has a government, it has a police service, and it has a ruling party. I am sure you can see that some of the people there are actually wearing ruling party T-shirts. It is lawless regardless of whoever does it. It is an embarrassment to South Africa as a country, what you are doing and what you are encouraging people to do. Your country has an immigration service. If people are in your country illegally, they should be arrested and deported through lawful processes. You do not go around destroying property, tearing down markets, and attacking people. It is illegal regardless of whoever does it. It is not illegal because I have said so. It is illegal because the laws of your country make it so. This is vigilantism, pure and simple, and it is tainting the reputation of South Africa, not only across Africa but across the world. If you have got satellite television in your home, you can see that these actions are being reported everywhere. It is not good for your country. This kind of barbarism undermines the rule of law, fuels division, and damages South Africa’s standing as a constitutional democracy. It is the actions of a few that are tainting the reputation of many. The average South African is not mindless like this. They respect the law, and they respect the fact that among them, in their communities, there are people from other countries. If those people are in the country illegally, you report them and the law takes its course through proper processes of arrest and deportation. You do not descend into mob justice, lawlessness, and destruction. That is not who South Africans are, and it must not be normalised.

Here is the play in question by Ryan, and as much as this is obvious that the catcher didn't secure this ... the rule in place for scorers is if a thorw BOUNCES, it is a throwing error. I do not like applying this in this type of instance on a throw from the outfield, but right now that's how the rule reads. Only the committee can change it on appeal, and they would have to do that against the writter rule (to the consternation of those in charge I'm certain). But letter of the law ... the throwing error is correct.

The Christian kvetching over this clip is pathetic. Here is the full context. In the interview Spielberg is not calling for the abolition or subversion of Christianity or the Church. The film literally includes a cardinal, a nun quoting scripture, and believers wrestling with what alien life would mean for their faith. Spielberg's conclusion is not that Christianity is false, but that god would still have dominion over alien life just as he does over humanity. This is directly out of mainstream Catholic theology. His point is the opposite of what people are claiming. He is suggesting that the creator god shared by Jews and Christians rules the entire universe, and that aliens or other unexplained phenomena would ultimately fall under that god's authority and reinforce it. That is the psyop, not "Christianity is being destroyed/subverted." Jews are not trying to destroy Christianity. Enough of this insecurity and persecution complex. Even by arguing this it shows that you have no idea what is going on.

The government says he wasn’t involved in any matters of substance — but isn’t it the role of the National Security Adviser to be involved in all matters of substance when it comes to national security? So, what’s the point of a National Security Adviser who does not involve themselves in matters of national security, as in this case? Instead, we are meant to believe that the Deputy National Security Adviser is allowed, in this case, to involve themselves in substantial matters of national security, but not apparently discuss these substantial matters of national security with the National Security Adviser.
