Please learn to put your phone on maintenance mood before giving out for repair. Please watch the video and learn 1 or 2 things!!

Maintenance mode is only if the screen is working perfectly. The thing most people come to fix is the screen🤡

The repairer can exit the maintenance mode and do whatever he wants then help you put it back in maintenance mode... This isn't secure A much better option for phone that have dual profiles is to switch profile. Some phone allow you to create new users. Each new user will log out of the previous user just like it works on a PC and it's more secure

I guess everyone needs to do this when travelling on Nigerian roads because of the police

@Esama_of_Lagos If the phone can even enter maintenance mode, then it’s not the kind of issues we’re talking about 🤣… some of these faults won’t even let you unlock, talk less of navigating settings. But yeah if it’s still responsive, no excuse protect your secrets before handing it over

It depends, how will you put a phone that's to be repaired on maintenance mood? For example a phone with damage screen and it's unresponsive.

This is a good one. Hopefully, there's a way to keep it on all the time so if the phone suddenly develops issues there'll be no hassles turning it on then.

The engineer can easily watch this video and know how to remove it from maintenance mode. So it’s lose lose still. Not helpful

Very useless thing to post🤣😂, if you don't give your repairer the password of your phone in the first place they won't get access, it should have a separate password from the phone normal password, I need go check myself if it does

You can't use another password, if I don't give my repairer my phone password, he or she can't access my phone in the first place, so don't see any need for this, only reason for this is to reduce the temptation, not to be curious, but from that Samsung notification, when slides down, shows it's on maintenance mode which any repairer will slide down to investigate, and will use the password given.

Simply put: lock all your apps, allowing just the app needed to access ascertain good working condition, otherwise this isn't such an absolute preventive measures with regards to data protection.

Maybe in the latest version of 16 and 17 maintenance mode will require ICloud password cos with only your password is even useless. Only safety here is with Nigeria police and the likes. U can just open your phone and show them the few APPs they be less concerns with 😂

This thing happened to me one time in Banex Abuja, I gave this guy my phone to repair only for me to step out for some time and he went through my phone including my bank app!!!! I wan craze but thank God I have series of locks!!! Very anyhow people
