This is not only my daughter Rafif’s suffering—it is the reality of hundreds of children across Gaza. A few hours ago, I checked on Baby Tai and once again I was reminded that watoto have a special kind of love, pure, innocent, and real. Just like Baby James yesterday, she ran straight to me, not knowing the pain surrounding her. Little does she understand that her mother, Anita, is no more taken away in such a painful and cruel way. What hurts even more is that this tragedy happened right in front of her a child too young to comprehend such horror. Since yesterday, she keeps asking me only one thing: “Let’s go to the hospital, I want to see mum.” Those words cut deep, because in her heart, she still believes her mother is just unwell that she will see her again. My heart is bleeding. No child deserves this kind of pain. I pray that God protects Baby Tai, surrounds her with His love, and gives her a future filled with peace, strength, and hope the kind her mother dreamed of for her. We will stand with her. We will support her. She will not walk this journey alone. The devil is a liar. Stay strong, Baby Tai… we are here for you.

The Kanpur incident is truly disgusting. How can a father-in-law be so cruel to his own daughter-in-law? Dragging her on the road and beating her like that is animal behavior. Meenakshi is crying for help and showing her wounds, but it’s sad that she feels the police are not doing enough.
