Day 4 of proving you can pay for things in Kenya using #bitcoin only! Paid our Maasai guides in Amboseli with bitcoin and they received Kenyan Shillings instantly. For tourists and visitors alike, you don’t need cash, a local SIM card, or a bank card that may or may not work while visiting Kenya. With just your bitcoin, a Lightning wallet, and the Tando app, you can pay across the country as easily as a local using mobile money.

Imagine every swipe of your card turning into a tax form. That’s what happens when spending Bitcoin. If you buy a coffee with Bitcoin, the government makes you pay capital gains taxes on top of sales taxes. Spending Bitcoin daily can turn into 70 pages in tax filings.

Which method have you used to pay off debt? 1️⃣ Snowball Method In the Snowball Method, you pay the minimums on all cards, but PAY MORE money to the card with the LOWEST BALANCE first — the one that will allow you to pay it off first. Why It Works👇🏽 This is all about psychology and small wins. Once you pay off the first card, you’re more motivated to pay off the next one. 2️⃣ Standard Method In the Standard Method, you pay the minimums on all cards, but PAY MORE money to the card with the HIGHEST APR, because it's costing you the most. Why It Works👇🏽 Mathematically, you want to pay off the credit card that's costing you the most first. Technically, the Snowball Method isn't necessarily the most efficient approach, because the card with the lowest balance doesn't necessarily have the highest APR. But on a psychological level, it's enormously rewarding to see one credit card paid off, which in turn can motivate you to pay off others more quickly. Just look at this reader’s message to me: “I've saved over $3,000 and paid off over $3,000 in credit card debt. The idea of snowballing payments from the smallest card to the largest had the greatest impact on my mentality toward paying off the debt.” —Sean Stewart, 31

“In 2018, the Central Bank Of China sat with the Representatives of Central Bank Of Nigeria and said Nigeria, you are buying alot of good from China. Why can’t you pay in Naira while we pay for your goods in Chinese Yuan! They call it currency swap. The total deal value came to about $2.5bn. The US called the former CBN Governor, Emefiele and warned him never to allow the policy succeed”. - Femi Falana

Now this was a long time ago. 2016 to be exact. No one I spoke to at the time had even heard of #Bitcoin so here I was with a 'crypto' visa debit card loaded with Bitcoin and turned it into cash. I felt like i was robbing the bank at the time 🤣 THE Bitcoin Marketing Team 🧡 STILL EARLY🧡

💭 What if TINY is picking dessert and about to pay, but it says “insufficient balance”? 🐿 Then I’d immediately take a card out of my own pocket. 💭 Even if it was 1,107 dollars? You’d still pay? 🐿 1,107 dollars? I’d still swipe it. The moment “insufficient balance” pops up, I’d go, “Oh - this isn’t the card you should be using. This one is,” and I’d put in my own card and pay. video cr. m0men1_s2
