Old flux sucks! Had an MVS copy of Samurai Shodown 2 that I picked up in 2004-ish and it never worked. Couple of months back I decided to open it up to check for bad solder joints and was met with both boards covered in flux. Cleaned and reflowed every chip and it works!!!
