The ground is so hard that they cannot forage for worms and they are desperate for water. So... please consider putting a bowl out even if it’s in the garden ,woods or fields. I put water out for my fox cubs - they drink some and then use the bowl as a toy.

I have a bee bowl, a bird bath, solar fountain (that the fox drinks from) and a couple of other bowls of water in the garden at all times.

We have 3 bowl out two for birds/squirrels one over the hedge for recently deer coming to graze we’ve live here years never seen a deer at the bottom of the garden. Crazy weather here in Yorkshire.

Agree. In my Bedfordshire garden badgers coming in digging holes for worms and last night they turned out about x20 pots of planted snowdrops.

I have fresh water daytime for the cats and birds and in the evening for any animal passing through.

Almost none in Aberdeenshire, which I suspect is even rarer. Realised last week that I hadn’t been filling outside water bowls and troughs as I should have been. Felt really guilty. Daily duty now,

Same here in Norfolk. I’ve been feeding and providing water to hedgehogs and birds for the last 4 weeks.
