When roughly translated, it means that the Police shouldn't forget they (used to at that time) receive only Rs 112 as salary, yet they beat up people. Similarly, even today the WB & Kolkata Police don't get fair DA, yet they keep beating up deprived Job Aspirants & DA agitators. Today, a Rally was organized by the West Bengal Group-D Govt Job Aspirants, with due approval and permission. Yet Police suddenly roughed up the participants. Shri Bhaskar Ghosh; Convener of the ‘Sangrami Joutho Manch’, who was present at the Rally, was mistreated and illegally arrested by the Police. I condemn the Police action and extend my wholehearted support to the Job Aspirants as well as all the respected members of various forums who were present at the Rally. Unfortunately, Mamata Banerjee has weaponised Police brutality since coming to power. It's a sign of nervousness. She is scared that she would be ousted from power very soon.
