@CMBrookePinto @OUC_DC Her response is incredibly bureaucratic and completely unacceptable. She's saying it's too hard to look it up b/c they're overworked. She isn't providing accountability as a leader and is not earning her keep. Keep showing up with the facts.

You are correct. It shouldn't be about me at all. This is about providing a crucial service to the public. This concept of throwing out blown addresses and other mistakes that cause delays from your data and omitting it from your transparency requirements over not having a phone number is bizarre. There is no significant additional difficulty for OUC to find the event with an address, units assigned, day and date, than with a phone number. That's just some obstacle @CMBrookePinto made up. She also forgets it isn't just me reporting those incidents. The fire department is reporting them too and most aren't getting posted. I guess she is okay with that also.

THE HITS KEEP ON COMING: U.S. Park Police drove an apparent stroke victim to the hospital this evening after waiting about 20 minutes for medics to arrive just one block from the White House. Rick Rubin tells Andrew Huberman how he deals with creative or writer’s block. He treats his work like a diary entry (and doesn’t worry about internal or external judgment): ➡️ “What's the cause of the block? So the discourse around this Dave Ramsey clip is so mixed up that I’ve just decided to upload the whole thing. In the full context of the call, the caller makes it perfectly obvious that: 1. She has been with this man, whom she is now living with, for six years. 2. She is a nurse and can make her own money. 3. She has been out of school for two years, and in that time she has paid off $70,000 of the debt. In the course of the call, Dave never suggests that this man should have to pay for that debt. Indeed, he actively suggests that she leave him, which guarantees he will not pay for the debt. Dave also all but says that, because of her career choice, the caller will be able to pay for the debt on her own, even if she has to take extra hours. All Dave is saying—and this should have been obvious from the original clip—is that the two are not aligned on money and debt at all. It is also clear that Dave thinks the man is stringing her along, which he is. So they simply should not be married at all, because this is a fundamental failure in the relationship. I myself would add that, at this late stage in the relationship, if you do not trust a woman financially, you should simply not be with that woman. And that is perfectly fine. But what you do not do is drag her along for six years when she obviously wants to get married, and then put another two or three years of financial hoops in front of her so that maybe you will propose. It is a waste of everybody’s time.

I am calling for the resignation of the Chief of the Capitol Police, Mr. Sund, and I have received notice from Mr. Irving that he will be submitting his resignation. Speaker Pelosi also stated that she had not talked to you since the initial breach of the Capitol, but according to your transcribed interview... You're on the phone with Speaker Pelosi a few times. Well, let me just say this. Many of our Capitol Police just acted so bravely and so with such concern for the staff, for the members, for the Capitol, for the Capitol of the United States. Many of them and they deserve our gratitude. But there was a failure of leadership at the top of the Capitol Police. This is my second call with Speaker Pelosi. Questioning the information I'd given to Vice President Pence about when we can get back into chambers, I assured her that information was correct. I could get them back into chambers by 7 p.m. and the call ended. That was call number two. Call number three was 6.25 p.m. I was over at the Senate from the secure location, I mean from where the Senate had been sequestered, and on a cell phone using Robert Karam's cell phone, they dialed leadership who was over or off site at a secure location, and I briefed all of the leadership of the plans to get them back into chambers. That would have been call number three with Speaker Pelosi. So you didn't have one call, you didn't have two calls, you had three calls, so Speaker Pelosi's comments that she didn't speak to you are inaccurate. That is correct, sir. This is my second call with Speaker Pelosi. Questioning the information I'd given to Vice President Pence about when we can get back into chambers, I assured her that information was correct. I could get them back into chambers by 7 p.m. and the call ended. That was call number two. Call number three was 6.25 p.m. I was over at the Senate from the secure location, I mean from where the Senate had been sequestered, and on a cell phone using Robert Karam's cell phone, they dialed leadership who was over or off site at a secure location, and I briefed all of the leadership of the plans to get them back into chambers. That would have been call number three with Speaker Pelosi. So you didn't have one call, you didn't have two calls, you had three calls, so Speaker Pelosi's comments that she didn't speak to you are inaccurate. That is correct, sir. For a long time most Jewish organizations and Jewish leaders in the world treated these false claims against Israel and the Jewish people as absurd, and on their face, ridiculous. And so we ignored the claims, and we let them sort of lie and fester for a long time. And one of the big criticisms that I've heard about my book, Israel on Trial, especially from Jewish organizations, is, "Well, we shouldn't give these these allegations the time of day. We should ignore them. We shouldn't put Israel on trial, we should put Hamas on trial." All of that, I think, is fair. Hamas should be on trial. But the opposite is not necessarily true either. And I think the strategy we have taken over the last 20 or 30 years—of ignoring these claims—has proven to be a fatal mistake. And the reason for that is whether in the law or in sports or in politics, when you ignore the other side's argument, you lose. That's just how it is. No matter how flagrantly absurd the argument is. In the law, if the other side files a motion, it's an adversarial system, if you don't respond to it, the judge isn't going to delve deeply into the correctness of the motion. They've got 300 other motions to deal with. If there's an unobjected to motion, that motion is granted by what we call default. The same thing happens in sports. If one football team arrives on the field and the other team doesn't show up, they win by forfeit. And so in either case, not rebutting the arguments that you believe are frivolous has allowed these arguments really to spread like wildfire across our population, both in our young people and even now bleeding into people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s. It's a very dangerous game we've been playing, and we were wrong to play it. The point of my book is to be patient with these arguments, show people that we can engage these arguments, and that on the merits they are totally false and frivolous as a matter of fact and law.

American Doctor doesn’t know what else to do A health insurance company cancelled her patients heart failure medication and keeps denying her prior authorizations “I f*cking can't today, I wasted an hour and 17 minutes of my time on the phone with an insurance company who decided that my patient no longer needs their heart failure medicine that they've been on for years. That is an old medicine, not remotely experimental. It's what everybody uses for heart failure patients in this situation. It's a medicine that saves the insurance company money in that if they pay for 36 patients to use it for three and a half years each, they'll prevent one heart failure exacerbation according to the number needed to treat for all of you methodology geeks out there. And you know, the total cost of all that medicine for 36 patients for 3 1/2 years is less than the cost of like, the first hour of a heart failure exacerbation hospitalization. So this makes no sense. — To go through that bullshit website and put in the information just to be told there's a duplicate prior authorization? I'm like, well, I'm the physician that wrote the prescription, so how about we delete that duplicate because it doesn't matter. And they're like, well, we can't do that. Why don't you talk to the insurance company? I'm like, sh*t, why didn't I think of that? Get back on the phone. Cannot get a single person on the phone for the insurance company. But it's really a Democrat hoax, because they're trying to get people to talk about something that's totally irrelevant to the success that we've had as a nation since I've been president. Even if you look at DC right now, DC, it's a totally safe zone. It's called a safe zone. That's a term. It's a term of art. It's a safe zone because it's very safe. You can walk down the street now, and nothing's going to happen. No crime, no murders, no nothing, because we had a lot of problem with certain places. And we still do all run by Democrats or for the most part, run by Democrats. So what they're trying to do with the Epstein hoax is get people to talk about that, instead of speaking about the tremendous success, like ending seven wars. I ended seven wars. Nobody's going to talk about because they're going to talk about the Epstein, whatever. I understand that we were subpoenaed to give files, and I understand we've given thousands of pages of files. And I know that no matter what you do, it's going to keep going. And I think it's enough because I think we should talk about the greatness of our country and the success that we're having. I think we're probably having, according to what I read, even from two people in this room, we're having the most successful eight months of any president ever. And that's what I want to talk about. That's what we should be talking about. Not the Epstein hoax.”

That is really a tough deal because these farmers have already planted, the timing on this is horrible. It costs $2,000 an acre to plant potatoes or more, dollars 2,000 to 3,000. Um, and now they have to shut down the wells and give up that investment. Their land is mortgaged, the potato crops are mortgaged, everything's financed, they will basically lose their farms if they turn their water off. We're having one of the best water years that we've had in the last decade. There's more water than they know what to do with. In this kind of a year, they're deciding that they're going to close down 500,000 acres because of because of the new formula that have been introduced on the prerogative, I guess, of the Department of of Water Resources. None of it makes any sense. So they would say they're following through with this agreement that they had put in place a few years ago, and the farmers should have known. I've talked to the governor, and the governor's position is he can't do anything about this because it's mentioned in the constitution and the supreme court has weighed in, but honestly, when I talk to the attorneys they're saying that's that's not a truthful version of what the facts are. The governor's office has a whole lot of prerogative, the Department of Water Resources has the prerogative on how to interpret these laws. By the way, the law does give priority to the folks that have senior water rights, so that's parcelled true. But the governor, I'm gonna plead that the governor exercised leadership here and that the legislature exercise some leadership and put, build some framework. What we need to have them do is build some framework around these agreements and around the laws so that, um, we don't lose all of our agriculture in this area and that appears to be the plan.”
