@ryangerritsen Bang on. @fordnation @WabKinew @MarkJCarney give no shit or mention about the costs and lack of competition Canadians are faced with. What a joke. @CBCNews @CTVNews masters of deception.

just said the quiet part out loud and every Canadian family should clip this. Our trade team has walked into every US negotiation since Mulroney with one hand tied behind its back, measuring “success” only by how happy the dairy cartel, softwood lobby and auto parts producers feel. Consumers? The people actually paying the inflated prices at the grocery store and hardware aisle? Completely erased from the equation. That’s not strategy. That’s capture. And it’s exactly why Trump keeps dictating terms while we scramble. Time to untie the hand and put the other 40 million Canadians in the room. @cbcwatcher @CanadianPM @USTradeRep

Our Laurentian Elite reduce everything to commerce in Canada. We excel in banking but suck in manufacturing. Carney runs a record deficit while courting international investors for more capital yet. It's only about money, so the negotiator's narrow strategy doesn't surprise me.

Canada has no leverage ..elbows up was a silly response. How about free, fair trade instead of Canadian protection practices

"Hope is not a strategy". If we had focused on innovation, liberty that kept talent here and consumption theory, we would have much lower costs of living. Disposable income supports local businesses. Without it, we shop at Amazon and Walmart and support Chinas manufacturing.

Imagine if Trump was to put a 51% tariff vs 50%. Libs would lose their marbles.

I think it is obvious we have leverage based on the number of Americans who are ramping up their attacks on Canada and demanding we make a deal. They aren't going away and shrugging their shoulders. They desperately want a win for the Republicans before the midterms.

Trump is worried about the mid terms because he is worried about all kinds of Investigative Committees controlled by Democrats. He is worried about impeachment. He is worried that JD Vance will refuse to pardon him if he is impeached.

Finally … CBC gets a dose of truth from Mr. Warner. Carney has no leverage and he is willing to allow these tariffs to keep the Dairy Cartel in Quebec Intact !! Why ?? Power . The Liberals will trash the Canadian economy to keep votes in Quebec … it’s that simple. Elbows Up ….. Idiots.

This man is spot on. Midterms will mean nothing. Trump will govern by executive order. He'll be sued, injunctions, appeals up the chain, reversals, modifications - all taking time. He'll run the clock.
