Temporary accommodation providers whether the council or private should be held accountable for such deplorable living conditions. If this was a private landlord’s property the council would have fined them thousands without hesitation.

What's particularly egregious is how seemingly nobody at Lambeth council realises the detrimental impact this is having. Absolutely appalling, nobody should have to put up with that.

This made me very angry because I have experienced similar situation with my son in 2019 who was 16 at the time and going through his GCSEs.His school was very supportive and helped us tremendously.Sad that nothing has changed but gone worse.

Welcome to the 21st century where living in slums is normalised. I’m wondering if the school has showering facilities where the poor kid could get cleaned up

So, Westminster politicians have billions of £s for senseless wars but they can't fund Councils to provide toilet and running water for our children? Is this who we are becoming?
