It’s an easy fix. Just get the cartridge removal tool and replace the cartridge. Probably 50 bucks or so for both things.

Easy fix you need a moen cartridge removal tool. Home Depot and Lowes have them. To get the cartridge out. Looks like this

@1053SS Make sure you turn the water main off for your house. It’s an easy fix, I’m not handy but was able to do mine. $50.00-75.00 all in including the tool.

You could try a CLR douche, but I would replace the cartridge.

Remove the trim, pop the metal clip up. And then the valve twists out. It’s a posi-temp valve and about $50. The valve is prolly going to be a pain to remove if it’s calcified up.

You don't need a plumber, my buddy just replaced his last night. Just a few basic tools. And the new part from Lowes.

i would take that silver trim off, it’s an easy fix u could do yourself. they sell a cartridge that comes with both the stem (the part that’s spinning and won’t shut off) and the main piece that’s connected to it that’s inside the valve. it’s a piece that’s both connected

Yes you can do it by yourself. Take the big plate off, pull the retaining clip from the top. You once that off you pull straight out on the insert. Take to Home Depot and buy replacement. Insert new part and put everything back together.
