PM Albanese rips into Peter Dutton after “another backflip” on school curriculum “The current school curriculum was put in place by the former govt, not us” “They’ve looked for culture wars in every corner” “Every dark corner” “If u can’t keep a policy for 3 days…”🔥 #Auspol25

It wasn’t the most convincing backflip. Initially says he’ll “work with parents” to change the “education system”, & only when pressed did he let it slip that all of a sudden “We don’t have any proposals” for change. If he wasn’t pressed, we wouldn’t even know he’s backflipped🤦‍♂️

Trumpism is the bloody plague here in Canada. All the right winger politicians are trying to pretend they are not. Funny, just let Trump on the news more and your PM will win again. Best of luck guys.

Albanese's claim that the current Australian Curriculum (Version 9.0) was developed under the former government is accurate, as it was released in May 2022 under Scott Morrison. His accusation of the Liberal Party, particularly Peter Dutton, engaging in "culture wars" is supported by Dutton's statements on teacher "extremism" and student "indoctrination." No lies were identified in Albanese's statements. The curriculum debate reflects ongoing political differences, with Version 9.0 aiming to standardize education and include new vocational studies.

He's definitely speaking more naturally and fluently, he doesn't sound like he's regurgitating coached lines as he has at other times - Albo's definitely hit his stride as Dutton flails and fails with ever increasing intensity. Albo needs a little pressure to kick into gear.

BREAKING: PRINCIPAL OF ENOCH BURKE’S SCHOOL ‘MOVES ON’ - GIVEN NEW JOB AT TOP STATE EDUCATION BODY On Tuesday this week an email was sent to parents at Wilson’s Hospital School notifying that Principal Frank Milling will be moving on from the school, and taking up a post with the NCCA (the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment), a state body that advises the Minister for Education. Three years ago, in May 2022, Enoch Burke was commanded by the then Principal Niamh McShane to use the "they" pronoun for a 3rd year student. Very shortly after making that demand, Principal McShane (who had commenced a Stage 4 disciplinary process against Enoch Burke) left the school to become a Principal in Bandon, County Cork. She was replaced as Principal by Mr Frank Milling. Mr Milling treated Enoch Burke very badly. For turning up to work, he was shouted at, mocked, and humiliated. All the while Mr Milling was persistent in his promotion of LGBT in the school. In 2023, when Enoch Burke lay in a prison cell, unjustly, Frank Milling was posing at the school with the transgender pride flag and posting it up on the school's social media. Frank Milling has now been given a job with the NCCA - the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment - the official state body that advises the Minister for Education (Helen McEntee) on what young people should be learning in school. Mr Milling’s appointment follows on from an alarming video sent to the school by the Fine Gael leader last year, at which point Enoch Burke had been languishing in prison for over 400 days, where Simon Harris specifically thanked Mr Milling in his role as School Principal. That this man will now decide what young people should be learning in school is something every parent should be concerned about.
