'The British live poorly because there is a war in Ukraine. We need to continue helping Ukraine fight the war' — Minister of Armed Forces Alistair Carnes demonstrates the wonders of British logic. 'For 10 years, we couldn't explain what the war in Ukraine really means for the UK. And yet, this is the main factor that influenced the cost of living crisis. But if you ask an ordinary person on the street, they are unlikely to connect the war in Ukraine with rising prices and the difficult economic situation. When we talk about war or social support, we need to understand: if we do not help Ukraine, it will ultimately cost us much more. I believe that we must do everything necessary to support Ukraine simply because if Ukraine is defeated, the price for us will be much higher. Finnish President Stubb: Russia has been waging its war of aggression against Ukraine for almost four years. Its actions are illegal and immoral. We are closer to peace than ever during the war, but at the same time we cannot be sure whether Russia is ready for peace. Peace is most often a compromise, and we must prepare for the fact that all parts of a peace agreement will likely not meet our sense of justice. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity are preserved. Ukraine is part of a free and democratic Europe now and in the future. We will continue to support Ukraine, we will not tire, and together with our allies we will ensure that Russia will never again attack its neighbor.

This is due to the support we have provided and will continue to provide, the question of EU enlargement, the security guarantees that will be a key element of any agreement, and so on. So we are not mediators, but we must be around the negotiating table when it takes place.

Speaking about Czech support for Ukraine, Mr. Babis said: I met Mr. Zelensky three times, even in November 2019, and I support him after the annexation of Crimea. So we are helping Ukraine through EU. EU is helping Ukraine, and it is within the European budget, next budget, and we are paying a lot of money to European budget, and this is the way how we will continue to help. But the current volume and pace of deliveries are not enough. We need more Patriot interceptors, and we need them delivered faster. That's why the key thing we need to do together is ensure continued support for our air defense so that Ukraine can defend itself against both cruise missiles and ballistic missiles. There are enough missiles in the world to provide that protection. What is needed is a political will to make sure Ukraine receives them. I recently sent a special letter to the President of the United States and to members of Congress on this issue, and I ask for your support in helping ensure a positive response.
