The PMO has reportedly sent a note to the Lok Sabha Secretariat stating that questions in Parliament regarding three funds PM CARES Fund, Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF), and the National Defence Fund (NDF) will not be answered under Rule 41. Background: •PMNRF was created in January 1948. •National Defence Fund was created in 1962. •PM CARES Fund was established on 26 March 2020. Earlier, questions about the first two funds were answered in Parliament sometimes partially but not outright denied like this. Among the three, PM CARES reportedly has the highest balance.
