PM Netanyahu in a multi-arena assessment with the IDF's senior command forum: "People said you couldn't get all the hostages back without accepting Hamas's dictate: leave the Strip and you'll get them all. They called it a possible great victory. I said: 'What victory? It's a terrible defeat.' They...

Tom Emmer I said it and I meant it, but I also said we needed a strong ethics provision or it wouldn’t pass. The reason the bill failed was the president’s corruption and a GOP Congress all too comfortable with it. We get meaningful ethics, we pass Clarity. One man’s greed stands in the way.

- Actually, I don't think it was a defeat. Four goals? What four goals? No, Gianni, it's more like a draw. Or even our minimal victory, if... we could somehow remove those four goals. Think about it, Gianni, what could we do here? And if I were to invade Belgium? Then we'd definitely be declared the winners, right? To be honest, I'm not sure if they even have an army at all.

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇵🇸 Netanyahu just bragged that he defied heavy U.S. pressure and refused to stop the war in Gaza and Rafah. “They told me: ‘PM, stop. Don’t enter Rafah. Don’t hold the Philadelphi Corridor. Leave the Gaza Strip completely. We’ll make a deal, get the hostages back, and we’ll frame it all as a victory.’” His answer? “I said: No.” Yet another example of Israel openly stating that it does whatever it wants, whenever it wants, regardless of who says so or what international law says Writers: Sol, Samuel

This group of friends were celebrating a birthday, they had brought heir own cake in which was purchased at a high end bakery in the area. The server said they could use that cake instead of theirs but it would be a $400 cutting fee so they cut it themselves outside, I would do the same, that price is outrageous. There was a time in Hudson, Ohio where we went to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was upscale but wasn’t like a 4 star place or anything. When I booked the reservation for 4 people we told them it was for a birthday. I asked them specifically if I was allowed to bring our own cake, our friend has food allergies and I had to get his cake at a specialty place that made a gluten free cake. They said it shouldn’t be an issue. They checked with the manager and the manager said it was ok. After having our dinner we were ready to do the cake. So I went to the car to get it so I could surprise him. At the door I was stopped by the hostess who told me it was against the rules to bring outside food in. I mentioned that I was told by a manager that it would be ok. They asked when I called and I said it was two days ago when they opened at 11am. She said well that was the day shift manager and he wasn’t there. She said we couldn’t bring in outside cake or food but they were happy to sell me one for $100. I said pass and I ended up just giving him the cake outside in the box as a gift so he could enjoy it at home.

😑 “You know, when I did the 250, there was nothing I could do. It was 250. It was 250. So I can't see -- that was my baby. The country happened to be 250 years old. But what I did do is during my first term, I got the Olympics, and I got the Great Soccer. You know that whole deal, right? I got -- we call it soccer. They call it football. I got them both. I got the Olympics. First, I got the Olympics, and I got it. I was president. And I said, you know, it's a shame. It's a shame. I got the World Cup, and I have the Olympics, and I did it. And you have no idea. President Obama didn't want to make a call to the Olympics. You know why? Because he went to Switzerland or wherever, and he said, you know, if a president goes to get the Olympics, you have to have a deal. You have to be chosen. He went there, and he came in fourth, so he hated them, I guess. And he was unwilling to make a call, and they called me up. The Democrats called me up, actually, from Los Angeles, and I said, I'll do it. I made the call, and I couldn't get the people off the phone because they were so starved for love, because nobody would call them from -- anyway, we made a deal. I got the Olympics. Then we got the World Cup with Johnny. We got the World Cup, and I got them both, and I looked at my people. I said, isn't it a shame? I got these two, but it wasn't in the next four years. It was right after that, and the one after that. And I got the Olympics, and I got the World Cup, and we also have 250, so that's a pretty wild term. But I got these two things that are incredible. Nobody else could have done it. I'm telling you, everybody wanted it. Nobody could have done it. And I said, and I won't be president, because I'll be president for four more years, but it won't be -- and then they cheated and rigged the election. They rigged -- you know, they don't even turn off the cameras when I say that now, because now they know it's true, too. But they knew it was true before. Remember, the cameras used to immediately turn off. You see all those beautiful red lights go off. Now I can say whatever I want, because then they know it's true. But they knew it was true before. It's fake news. That's why they call it. But you know what? This term is much more consequential than if I had done it the more traditional way. This was slightly harder, believe me. It's slightly more dangerous, because they're criminals on the other side that tried to put your president in jail and went after him, just like they do in third-world countries. And we all beat em together. We beat em because our level of popularity was so high.”

‘I wrote it in the morning on the piano, like I said many times, and I went to the office and I sang it. I thought, “Hell, let’s do it”, and we booked the studio. And Phil came in, he said, “How do you want it?” I said, “You know, 1950 but now.” And he said “Right,” and boom, I did it in just about three goes. He played it back, and there it was. I said, “A bit more bass, that’s all.” And off we went. See, Phil doesn’t fuss about with fuckin’ stereo or all the bullshit. Just “Did it sound alright? Let’s have it.” It doesn’t matter whether something’s prominent or not prominent. If it sounds good to you as a layman or as a human, take it. Don’t bother whether this is like that or the quality of this. That suits me fine.’ John Lennon, 1970

Seth Rogen reveals The Interview used a real tiger because the CGI was too expensive, then the tiger wrangler started asking terrifying questions I did a movie called The Interview about North Korea, and there’s a scene with a tiger. I directed the movie with my partner, and we wrote this scene where there’s a tiger. I thought in my head it would be CG. Life of Pi had come out recently, and I was like, “We’ll get the Life of Pi tiger. Put us down for one Life of Pi.” They were like, “We can’t afford that at all. We’ve got to get a real tiger.” I was like, “Oh God.” So we found a tiger wrangler in Calgary, and we had a call with him. It was so funny because he was the least confidence inspiring person you’ve ever spoken to in your entire life. I asked, “Where’d you get the tiger?” He said, “From a stripper.” We were like, “What?” He said, “She had a tiger cub as part of her act, and it got too big, so she had to get rid of it.” We asked, “Where does a stripper get a tiger?” He said, “It’s easier than you think. You could get one.” We had sent him the script, and he said, “Let’s go over the scene. You’re not shooting this at night, are you?” I said, “Yeah, the scene is set at night.” He said, “Ooh.” I asked, “Why is that bad?” He said, “Well, they hunt at night.” He asked, “Can it be during the day?” We said, “No. Is that okay?” There was a long pause, and he said, “Yeah, it’s okay. I think it’s okay.” Then he asked, “It won’t be in a big open area, will it?” We said, “Yeah, it’s basically a giant meadow.” He said, “Ooh.” We asked, “Is that bad?” He said, “Well, if there’s a deer or something, they will go after it.” We said, “That’s bad. Should we not do this?” He said, “No, it’s fine.” Then he asked, “It won’t be raining, will it?” We said, “Yeah. We’re filming in Vancouver in the winter. It will be raining.” He said, “Oh, that’s not good.” We asked, “Why?” He said, “The rain really agitates them. They just don’t like the rain.” We asked, “Should we not do it?” He said, “No, it’s fine. It’ll be fine.”

ZELENSKYY: Abramovich came to Kyiv. He said, “I have direct message for you, and I want to receive message from you and deliver it to Putin.” Key message was about Donbas. I said, “We won't leave our territory. We won't hand you victory this way. And you will not get Donbas.” We also discussed all kinds of possible compromises. I said, “All compromises will come after ceasefire. A ceasefire is the biggest compromise from our side to yours.” Abramovich also said it had to be done silently, without any public messages. I replied, “Look, it’s your choice.” For us it doesn’t matter, public or non-public. But it’s always like this with Russia. If they say something has to stay between us, it means that tomorrow not only we will know about it.

NBC’s Garrett Haake: “There's been so much political violence not just aimed at yourself, but at other members of, you know, members of congress, state house speakers, you name it. Is that just the cost of doing business to do politics in America anymore?” Trump: “Yeah.” Haake: “Well, what does that say about our country?” President Trump: “You know, we're not the only country you look at. There's great violence with all countries. I was talking to somebody from another country today, and they have numerous assassinations of political figures all over the world. You look at South America – in South America. It's like some of the numbers are just horrific. It's dangerous, dangerous stuff, whether it's here or someplace else. No country is immune, no country. Good question.” Haake: “Is it possible to turn the temperature down, at this point?” Trump: “Well, probably if I decided to just not do much, you know, if I let everybody rip us off and take advantage of us. Look, we're leading the world in trade now. We're leading the world in the military. We're the greatest military in the world. They rebuilt it in my first term, and now we use it because we have no choice. We can't let, as an example, Iran – we can't let them get a nuclear weapon, that everything will be peanuts compared to that. If they ever were given a nuclear weapon and they'd use it too. Marco and I were talking about it today. They would use it without even hesitation. We can't do that. It was a shame. I said, oh boy, look at the numbers. We just broke 50,000 in the Dow. We just broke 7,000 in the S&P. They said we couldn't do it in seven years, five years, four years. They were saying maybe in five or six years. And we did it in one year. And I called everybody together. I called all of these people and others and they said, uh, we have to take a little journey. I say, to do this. We just had the great number. We just broke 50,000 wasn't supposed to happen during my term, wasn't reachable, did it in one year. And I said, we're going to have to make a journey to Iran. They they're going to have a nuclear weapon if we don't do it. We had the B-2 bombers take them out. I terminated in the first term the Obama agreement, the Iran nuclear agreement, which was a disaster. That was a road to a nuclear weapon. They would have used it. They would have used it 100%. As a hot war in the Middle East ramps up, Trump takes a SEVEN MINUTE BREAK to deliver this demented vowel movement about his fountains. Read it. He is absolutely gone. 1/2 “We also have a beautiful city. We had 22 fountains. Every one of them didn't work. One of them, probably the best was one that hasn't worked for 50 years. That was about the best. They've all been out of commission for 50 years or more. Can you imagine it? They were graffiti-strung, grass-strung, the grass growing through the cracks. And they were in terrible shape. And all 22 have now been opened. And the most magnificent, possibly, of all the waterfront and union station is beautiful. You see that? It was all graffiti all over the place. We-- it's a lot of work. We got it looking maybe better than it was the day they put it in. But the one that we're all talking about is the almost 2,500 foot long that's taller than any building in the world, actually. There's no building that's 2,500 feet tall. I don't think. But it's like twice the height of the Empire State Building is an example, much wider. So we just got that open. Last night, we went to do it before July 4, and it is incredible. It's called-- it was originally called 1922. It was built. It was called the Reflecting Pond, or the Reflecting Lakes of people called it. But it was supposed to be a reflection. It never worked from 1920 to-- because it was stone on the base. And no matter what, it always leaked, because you have stone, and you have lots of crevins that we have nice stone out there. But if you go between the stone, it leaks. And so it never really worked very well. And it was a bad color. It was gray. It's concrete and stones. It was gray. And I had the idea, along with some great people that worked for us, Doug Burgum, his fantastic, his group, Greg, everybody. And it worked very hard. But it was going to cost $400 million. And we did it for about $10 million. It was going to take four years to build. So we did it in, like, a month, a month and a half. And we would have had our construction site out there for years. And it wouldn't have worked when they built it. So when they told me what they were going to do, I said, that's not a good idea. I built many, many swimming pools as a builder. I built hundreds of them. And I got one of our contractors. I had them take a look. And he said, oh, we can do a great job. If you could just give us a decent surface, a surface was in sense. So we sand blasted the surface. We fumeigated it. We took out 11 dumpsters, big dumpsters, full of garbage. It was all garbage. Some of the garbage was after years. It was all disgusting. And it smelled. And anyway, we took 11 dumpsters of garbage out. With shovels, we had a shovel inside of what's called a pool or a lake. And I got it cleaned. We then fumeigated it. We then sandblasted the entire thing. Washed it cleaned. It scrubbed it. Sandblasted it. Then we gave it a test. Then we rinsed it out. And we gave them a beautiful surface. And then they put a swimming pool topping, but industrial strength. It's industrial strength. It's used for tanks and lots of other things. So it will water. And we worked out the ratios of expansion and contraction, because you know, believe it or not, when you have something that's 2,500 feet long, this tremendous expansion. And who would think of this? Only a person that doesn't like me. And they have a lot of expansion and contraction. So when we're putting the surface down, we'd leave areas that can expand and contract a little bit. Because it expands over a foot and a half, can you believe it? So I would have ripped it apart. So we left areas of expansion and contraction. We were testing it for three weeks, four weeks. Works great. And we just opened it last night, and people are going wild over.”

Trump Lies and Says it was NOT Jesus, it was him as a Doctor You really can't make this crap up POTUS: I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do with the Red Cross as a Red Cross worker there, which we support, and only the fake news could come up with that one (that he is depicted as Jesus Christ). So I had just heard about it, and I said, how did they come up with that? It's supposed to be me as a doctor making people better, and I do make people better. I make people a lot better.

Vučić said he doesn't know how to defeat Russia and called for a compromise solution to the Ukrainian conflict. "We need, we need to talk more about how to stop the war. That's what we need. And you always, always say things like, 'Okay, how are we going to defeat Putin? How are we going to defeat Russia?' I don't know how to defeat Russia, because I don't think it will be easy. Because, after all, Russia is a nuclear power, and it can't be easily attacked by anyone or anything like that. We need a compromise solution, not defeat..."

This is psychotic behavior. It’s not just malignant narcissism and dementia. He has lost contact with the objective world and expects everyone to live in his alternate reality with him. It’s all manufactured by his own psyche and no amount of evidence will change it. This is a terrified inner psyche constructing a protective world. He’s insane and existentially dangerous. “Jeanine Pirro made a mistake. It was vandalism. I just told you we did, I think, 78. One of the things was to reflecting pool, hasn’t worked since 1922, because it always leaked. It always leaked from 1922. You know, it's the largest longest pool ever, all that. The concept is beautiful, but it always leaked because of the size, because of maintenance, whatever. But it was built in 1922, and from the day it was built, it like, Biden spent $58 million. Barack Hussein Obama spent much more than that. He said, "I have an idea. Let's take the river from, let's take the water from the Potomac." So they took the water from the Potomac, and it was putrid. It was putrid. It was a disaster. Biden was a disaster. I said, "I'm going to get that face." Along with Doug Burgum, Department of Interior, and we worked harder than that. Now we worked harder in all '70s. It's actually, I think, '81 now. You saw the new horses that just opened by the bridge with the gold. That was the way they were many years ago. Now they looked better than they did many years ago. But these monuments looked better than they did when they were originally built. Not just a little fix up. We made them the way they were plus, and everyone's so proud. The biggest, one of the bigger jobs was not really the biggest, believe it or not, but one of the biggest was the reflecting pool. And we did a great job. We sandblasted the stonehouse at his granite, so it has a long life. We did a great job. We got very expensive material to put on top of the surface that always leaked, because it was stone. It was a stone, sir. Always leaked. And we put it on, and it was beautiful. Now we have photographs of tapes, like moving cameras, right? We have them where people are on the side, cutting it with a box knife. So now I'm not saying I was 100% thrilled with the contractor, but the contractor was rushing. We wanted to get it open for July 4th. And we got it done. But in addition, there was mandalism. Number one, look at the grass, where the grass was all knocked out with a very powerful ingredient. We know very well what it is. But like I say, the name, because people get ideas. But they put a terrible phrase, I won't say that either, but a terrible phrase, on a massive piece of grass that we had just replaced. Kill the grass. We had to replace the grass. A lot of grass. In addition, they took knives or cutters, and they cut the material. And they put their hands and they pulled it. And there was also some maintenance things that we would have routinely fixed. But we had that up, and it was perfect. And then you had the bubblers, which get rid of what forms in the water. And that works great, but they turned it up because of the fight. Because it competed a little bit of noise during the fight. They turned it off, and it grows very rapidly in the water. But that actually works very well. And that's all. So now we're just about set to reopen it. And we had to replace cut areas where they cut it and ripped it. But there's a tape. And Jesse Wooders, by the way, did a whole big thing on it. There's a tape that's out there that I posted on truth. Where you have people leaning over the side, the weakest part, because of the flexibility. You know it moves. It's very complicated. It moves. And the softest part has to be flexible. And that's the stuff you can cut. And these guys knew what they were doing. And they cut all the way along the base, cut, cut, cut. Now, when you need to look at it, it was a day after the 4th of July, with the largest fireworks display in the world.”

"I like 'Kiss Me Deadly' (1955) very much. I just don't think it was as important a film as some people thought it was." --- Robert Aldrich Full Excerpt: "Interviewer: We all like 'Kiss Me Deadly' (1955), but hear that you don't. Aldrich: Oh no, that's not true. I like this one very much and I'm very proud of it. If you remember when it was made was the time all the New Wave directors were editors on Cahiers. And they read into it many more things than were intended. And I think it was Truffaut who asked me at Venice the following year if I wasn't proud and happy or something about the things that Cahiers had said about it. And I am a lot older and wiser now, and I suppose I should have said "Yes" and let it go at that. But I said something to the effect that I was very glad they said it, but I couldn't really take credit for all those rather deep and significant thoughts because they weren't all intended. I am glad that they were there; maybe some of them were subconscious, but I thought a lot of them were read in. And naturally, if you had been the author of this kind of thing, you would have felt a little bit cheated, and I think they did. I think they didn't resent it, but they felt a little hurt . . . No, I like the picture very much. I just don't think it was as important a film as some people thought it was." (Robert Aldrich's interview with Ian Cameron & Mark Shivas, 1963) P.S: On this day, 71 years ago "Kiss Me Deadly" (1955) premiered in New York City, USA.

Trump on the ceasefire: “We helped a lot. I said c’mon, we are going to do a lot of trade with you guys. Let’s stop it. If you stop it we do trade, if you don’t stop it we are not gonna do any trade. And all of a sudden they said ‘I think we are gonna stop’. And they have.”
