As a kid I didn’t want to be watch this movie because it was a girl movie. But as I got older and learned the real American History, I found a new reason to never watch this movie.

As a kid I saw Pocahontas as a love story. The. I grew up and understood it for what it is, a colonial propaganda film.

I feel like the Pocahontas movie wouldn't have aged half as badly if it didn't use real historical figures in this way and made up names for its movie it still would have aged badly but not milk left out in the sun for weeks type badly

And then the Sequel had to happen. I know... we can't change history, but... that doesn't make it hurt less.
