Pocket SCÍON is a portable device that captures biofeedback data sourced from contact with living organisms. This data is used by an onboard sound engine to generate evolving soundscapes, a range of MIDI messages and biofeedback data which is made accessible via the accompanying desktop application. Anyone can create,... show more

We have data in abundance now. The real value isn't within the RAW Data, but is this data validated and verified? More value in data refinement. We have a solution for this which is validated by 6 years of research and development with the Department of Defense Now securing and validating commercial data from partners like Common Crawl and Panasonic

Most Americans don’t realize the incredible amount of private data that is being harvested from their smartphones by third parties, says Joe Weil, CEO of Unplugged Unplugged. What’s even worse is that this advertising data is not protected by the Fourth Amendment, he says. Data brokers sell this data freely, and just by applying a few filters, anyone—foreign governments, intelligence services, criminal cartels—can easily triangulate the data to surveil and target individual people or groups of people.

Making Data and AI Lovable. Lovable now integrates with Databricks, providing a natural language interface that allows anyone—regardless of technical skills—to build live data apps can read and write data stored in Databricks. Bridge the gap between complex data engineering and beautiful, functional front-ends.

The amount of user data being collected by threads is insane. They now have access to your text messages, financial data, health and fitness data, “sensitive info”, and more. I know this is somewhat normal for social media apps, but this much data seems unnecessary and an overreach.

Robotics has a data problem, and egocentric data is a compelling way to solve it because egocentric data is (1) scalable — it’s cheap to collect — and (2) easily captures the breadth and diversity of real human tasks, while (3) being true to real physics. Lightwheel recently released a hundred thousand hours of high-quality egocentric video data, spread across a wide range of human tasks from cleaning and tidying to assembly and construction to retail tasks. Here to tell us about this tremendous effort is Steve Xie, CEO and co-founder of Lightwheel. The data is also available on HuggingFace right now. Watch Episode 102 of RoboPapers, with Michael Cho - Rbt/Acc and Jiafei Duan, to learn more!

A lot of robot learning pipelines treat embodiment mismatch as a software problem. Collect data with one device, retarget the motion to another robot, and try to deal with the differences later. TwinDEX flips that idea around. This system is from a Chinese robotics company called X Square. Instead of starting with a generic data-collection device, the team co-designs a wearable three-finger end-effector and a robotic hand as two sides of the same learning system. They align the things that actually matter during manipulation: joint structure, link proportions, contact geometry, surface properties, visual appearance, sensing, and timing. That matters because dexterous manipulation is much more than matching hand poses. A few millimeters of contact error or a different force relationship can completely change how a task is executed. In the collection evaluation, TwinDEX delivered up to 5.3 times the effective throughput of on-robot teleoperation. It’s a useful reminder that scaling robot learning may not only be about bigger models and more data. Sometimes the hardware collecting the data is part of the data problem itself.

This is the humming sound that residents in Sterling,Virginia hear coming from a Data center right next to the homes of families with children that live and play there. They also see black particles coming from the Data Center along with issues with their water pressure.

Did you know that Facebook made $134.9 billion in 2023 from selling your data? Our society has come to the point where we accepted an unfair model in which privacy is being exploited and data gifted to big tech that is selling it for billions. We intend to break the norm of how data is shared on the internet because it is outdated and unfair. You should be empowered with more control and monetization models for your data!

#WATCH | Delhi | UIDAI Chairperson and World Bank Executive Director Neelkanth Mishra says, "...What is most critical is that 99% of the data in corporations is untouched by AI. None of the companies wants to share this data with AI models because once you've shared it, it's gone. And if you don't have that, then how do you get solutions?.. There is a complete market failure in the data market... India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) law, the data architecture which is based on DEPA (Data Empowerment and Protection Architecture), is a remarkable model for enabling data sharing where the owner of the data still retains control even as it makes it available for certain usage..."

This is what Russia drives people to: a man built a “Telegram pager” that works without internet on the device The system works without mobile internet. It consists of two parts: a home server with internet access and a portable “pager” that receives data via a mesh network (LoRa). It supports only text messages — no photos, videos, or files.
