@WWIIMemorial Had the opportunity to visit there a couple of times. Fascinating with all the shell craters and left over bunkers. And the view, wow. Can't imagine those Rangers climbing those ropes against enemy fire. Courage!

@WWIIMemorial My father, now 93, often watched the Military channel. Visiting Normandy and seeing Pointe du Hoc where the Rangers scaled the cliffs & then watching films about it made the history much more interesting.

@WWIIMemorial I was there last year during the 80th and sad I missed that. It was closed because they were building the stage for the presidents speech. But loved the other bunkers and the bomb craters. What climb for the Rangers
