Pokemon made its US television debut 27 years ago

waking up at 6 am to watch this and have a cold breakfast while your parents where getting divorced went so hard ngl

like if you saw this when it aired

Damn I remember this like it was yesterday!

Oh the nostalgia

all kids literally freaked out, crazy times

God, I miss this era 🥺

With the most iconic opening ever

Chills, literal chills. I love the emotion and energy they used to put into openings like these. There is also a fun fact about that random girl who never makes an actual appearance in the show.

My childhood I remember watching a commercials for the show before it came out. I remember all the good times as far as the Pokémon game boy games, the cards even the show. It was a great experience as a child. I still have my original stuff even my Japanese cards were like 96.

Such an underrated intro

A banger for sure

40 year old still getting goosebumps! #GottaCatchEmAll

@TJSlipperman Part of my childhood!

Just to watch Ash be a garbage trainer

damn time flys by so fast 😭 what an awesome time that was

🦎

I was in total awe watching this intro for the first time as a kid after hearing rumors about a new Pokemon cartoon on the school playground. Nostalgia.

Childhood

Best theme song all of time 🥹❤️

Oh hey @leiane1

Goated intro

my childhood

Low key Digimon was a better show. However the Pokémon cards and games were top tier.

The hardest intro ever

@JohnchoVilla Growing up early Saturday morning Pokémon’s some of the best times ever 🔥🔥

I used to watch it every Saturday morning along with Power Rangers, Sailor Moon, TMNT, Spiderman, Xmen

I was there! #gottacatchemall

This is the perfect example of a time where you just had to be there.

AWESOME

Still ABSOLUTE PEAK.

Please bring me back to this time
