While visiting Magic Kingdom, a young boy wasn’t chasing down Disney characters for autographs. He was more interested in real-life heroes. When he spotted Deputy James McDonel, he ran over and asked for an autograph. Deputy McDonel signed his book and took it a step further by deputizing him on the spot, complete with a junior deputy badge. The boy’s mom recorded the moment and sent it to us, and we’re proud to share it here.

Just re-watched this Chris Jericho interview with Chris Van Vliet where he discussed his famous 2001 tag team match against Triple H & Stone Cold Steve Austin. TRIPLE H TORE HIS QUAD MIDWAY BUT STILL COMPLETED THE MATCH. 🥶 Jericho says, "He hit me really light. Triple H and I did not like each other back in those days but we always had great matches... we're totally cool now, we're friends" 😄 "So he hit me from behind but it was very light and I was like that's not like him and then I saw him kind of fall down and roll out & he goes I think I think I tore my quad..I'm like what do you want to do ?? He goes: the spot." "So I'm putting him in the walls of Jericho and like I'm trying to keep his legs as straight as possible but sure it didn't feel good at all" "but yeah he carried through, man & I got nothing but respect for him." From the moment he peeked out of his egg, little Jimmy the Sandhill crane colt knew he could fly, and today would be the day! With just a few steps of his long, gangly, earthworm-like legs, he would propel himself into the sky and see the swampy wetlands from a new perspective. Six steps in, and he could feel his body become weightless, so he flapped his little, nubby wings with everything he had. 8 steps in, and he couldn’t help but smile because his moment of graceful flight was imminent! By step 10 in his mind, he was airborne, and the world took on a different view, but he knew he shouldn’t stay aloft for long, so he made the hard decision to land after a few exhilarating moments of midair madness. Once he was back on the ground, he resumed his stoic walk along the dirt road, fully knowing that his place in the sky would soon return.

Six steps in, and he could feel his body become weightless, so he flapped his little, nubby wings with everything he had. 8 steps in, and he couldn’t help but smile because his moment of graceful flight was imminent! By step 10 in his mind, he was airborne, and the world took on a different view, but he knew he shouldn’t stay aloft for long, so he made the hard decision to land after a few exhilarating moments of midair madness. Once he was back on the ground, he resumed his stoic walk along the dirt road, fully knowing that his place in the sky would soon return.
