In a disturbing escalation of political violence in West Bengal, the TMC launched a violent attack at the BJP District Party Office in Cooch Behar. The Assembly Elections are probably 11 months away but TMC have unleashed their attack dogs on the principal opposition party; BJP. This shows that they are losing ground and that's why they are resorting to violence so early. The Party Office is located in the Cooch Behar town and the incident unfolded in the presence of Mamata Police. TMC Goons along with Jihadists who are under the patronage of Mamata Police executed the attack. Several of our Karyakartas got injured badly. Recently, BJP MLA from Cooch Behar South Assembly Constituency; Shri Nikhil Ranjan Dey was attacked by TMC Goons while he was going towards Dinhata Court. They removed and transferred experienced State Government officials and senior police officers who knew every corner of Bengal like the back of their hand. In their place, they imposed Central officers who have zero understanding of our geography, demography or ground reality. Some personnel were in uniform, others in plain clothes; some had no badges or IDs yet they were carrying sticks and wearing helmets. Why did such a large force enter office premises? What exactly were they there to do? Was this a battle? What was the purpose of this deployment? Where did all these batons and sticks come from, and why were they being carried inside a political party office? Were they brought to intimidate or assault office staff and security personnel?
