HIPPA laws prohibit medical office staff from telling police why a patient was on a Doctor’s office. You match a description is not probable cause for detention or forced ID. We don’t have to talk to police. We have the right to refuse to talk to police. We don’t have to listen.

You gotta be wise in/when dealing with modern day American law enforcement and especially if you’re Black American. The anger (due to the inconveniencing) is understandable but it’s not helpful. Cops are out of control and power hungry as is the whole government so you have to play it smart in these interactions so you can be on your way.
